Property Amenities
Damai is the hotel's new 78,000 square-foot spa and fitness centre. Inside the centre, Damai features 11 indoor treatment rooms and a range of massages, facials, and beauty treatments using essential oils. A free-form outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, and badminton courts are available.
Rooms
The hotel has 663 guestrooms with views of the garden or city. All Grand Deluxe rooms have separate living and bedroom areas. Living rooms are decorated in creamy tones complemented by birch-veneer furniture, bold-color sofas, and glass-topped desks. Bedrooms are outfitted with birch-veneer wall panels contrasting with dark-wood headboards; beds have goose-down duvets in white linen. Other amenities include two cordless phones with conference capabilities, modem, and fax connection facilities, and wired or wireless Internet (surcharge). Two flat-screen digital Bang and Olufsen TVs have 47 cable/satellite channels.

StraitsKitchen - Features polished floorboards, large glass panels, and armchairs. Asian accents include antique furniture and a collection of Chinese tea pots. Central, open kitchen with local Chinese, Malay, and Indian favorites such as laksa, mee goreng, and chicken curry. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Buffet or à la carte.
mezza9 - Modern teak furnishings and dark-fabric cushions contrast with stainless-steel kitchen fittings. 400-seat restaurant with a variety of open kitchens. Western grill, sushi and yakitori grills, Chinese seafood, European and Thai deli with crustacean bar, and desserts. A wine cellar and martini cigar bar complete the offerings. Open for lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and Sunday brunch.
Pete's Place - Traditional Italian restaurant and bar decorated with rustic stone walls and checkered tablecloths. Menu features more than 40 selections of pizzas, soups, salads, and pastas. Open for lunch and dinner.
Oasis - Located next to the landscaped pool. Central bar counter with overhead wooden beams. Casual alfresco dining with local dishes and Western favourites such as salads and sandwiches. Serves lunch and dinner.
Scotts Lounge - High-back armchairs, floral murals, and arrangements of fresh flowers. Floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the garden and waterfall. Serves light snacks, drinks, and afternoon tea (weekends). Open from morning till late night.
BRIX - Bar with more than 400 seats. Daily live band performance: jazz, rhythm and blues, soul. A DJ spins top 40 hits. Specialise in wines and whisky, including malt scotch, cognacs, and liqueurs. Open evening till late night.
Recreation
The hotel's new recreational facilities, Damai, cover an area of 78,000 square-feet. The fitness centre features modern gym equipment with cardio and strength training stations. Personal training is also available (surcharge).
Guests can enjoy a game of badminton or tennis (surcharge). The studio offers fitness and aerobics classes.
The spa offers 11 indoor treatment rooms and a spa menu comprising a variety of local and Western treatments.
A jogging map is provided and details two routes. Guests can take the five-km (three-mile) route past Orchard Road to the Botanic Gardens, or the ten-km (six-mile) route that passes the residential areas of Scotts, Bukit Timah, and Farrer Road.
Spa
The hotel offers spa treatments and beauty therapies using local Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Western techniques in conjunction with the spa's specially formulated essential oils.
Damai Orchid Massage (90 minutes):
Our signature Orchid Essence radically boosts the rejuvenating and energy balancing effects of this pressure point massage.
Malay Urut Massage (75 minutes):
This traditional Malay and Indonesian massage uses deep thumb and forearm kneading and palm pressure along energy meridians to promote physical and mental well-being.
Abhyangam Massage (75 minutes):
A central therapy in Ayurveda, the main goal of Abhyangam is for healing oils to be absorbed by the body to promote natural detoxification.
Foot Reflexology (60 minutes):
Foot reflexology using digit-pressure to enhance circulation and eliminate swelling.
Swedish Massage (75 minutes):
A classic European massage using long, gentle strokes to eliminate stress and relieve muscle tension.

“Looking forward to getting back again”
Beautiful, tastefully understated decor and meeting all your needs: free bottled water, coffee and teas in the room, great work desk with internet connections, no cost internet, quiet room with nice courtyard views. Excellent location next to shopping and near the botanical gardens. Short cab ride to most sites of interest. Very friendly staff and lots of them, so you never need to wait in line. Spa experience was expensive but worth the extra spend. Fabulous gym and open 24 hours for guest....got to love that when the time change has you wanting a workout at 2 am. Over all a must repeat this experience impression.

The hotel was really nice. Great location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They noticed that it was my birthday so they gave me a free room upgrade. I will definitely go back. Always stays at The Mandarin before but this one is a nice surprise.

The hotel was great -- very clean, very comfortable. The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, less than one block from Orchard Street which has a ton of places to shop and eat, and also a stop for the metro rail. I would definitely stay here again.

“Cool & big”
The service staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are spacious but almost too stylish-cool. Lights are not cozy and cannot be turned on/off comfortably when staying in bed (only full lightning or none!). Aircondition is too cold. Apart from that, a great place to stay.
