“Good Experience”

We have now used the Mercure a couple of times when transiting through Singapore. The shuttle service is a real bonus. Our rooms have been well appointed and clean. Due to flight changes on our last trip, rather than an over night stay, we had an early morning arrival and late night departure. We really appreciated allowing us to have access to our room on arrival (8 in the morning) and since we had an early departure, we incurred no further charges. We will continue to use the Mercure on future trips through Singapore.

“Love this hotel”

This is the best value hotel close to Changi that I've found in Singapore. I fly through Singapore about 10-12 times a year and, while the new Crowne Plaza located at the airport is convenient, it's overpriced. The Grand Mercure is excellent and I highly recommend it. My only complaint is that they charge for wifi - it should be free.

“Nice comfortable hotel”

Well run hotel, good price, and very professional and helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone, we were made very comfortable during our stay.

“Great 4-star hotel for good value”

The hotel was very nice and was one of the few hotels with rooms available on short notice (2- days). Free airport shuttle bus. The quality for value was excellent.

“Very satisfactory”

We had to stay over in Singapore three times on the one trip and this hotel served our purposes quite well. It is very comfortable, is between the airport and the city, has good bus service close by and is over the road from a very useful market and eating area.

Have used this hotel both for a short break and as a transit hotel. Very good for both. Good local public transport servies to all areas. Interesting shopping mall, market, opposite,- behind an 'older' interesting area of Singapore. Excellent as a transit hotel - very efficient courtesy bus service at all hours - well managed & efficient front of house - good buffet meal provision - recreational facilities ie pool -refreshing and excellent for children. Reasonable price and not too far from airport. Would definately recommend as an alternative to the more expensive hotels by the airport- slightly 'further in' but not so far that getting back to the airport is a problem. Very friendly and helpful staff in all area.

“Mercure Singapore - Outdated hotel”

Mercure is still charging for internet access. And it is not cheap. This is such an outdated business model. The room furniture is old but it does the job. There is nothing special about this hotel. I won't go there again.

“Good, and will use it again”

My main disappointment is that despite a substantial room rate, that my room did not include breakfast, which almost every other hotel DOES. This should be attended to.

“Singapore May 2010”

The hotel seems to be preferred as stopover accommodations for most travelers. Convenient bus service in front of hotel can take you to different area and the subway will move you throughout the city quickly. Hawker stalls at Marine Parade (across street) abound as well as McDonalds, Carl's Jr., KFC, Starbucks and others for eating as the hotel's food and drinks are expensive. Pool is small but very clean and relaxing. For safety the elevators require your key card to operate. Rooms are big and have in-room safe also. There were no robes as described but slippers were provided. I personally would not have stayed at regular rates.
