“A place to relax right in the center of a megacity”

Wonderful centrally located hotel with a great style and historical scenery. Fort Canning park is attached so a lot of green areas. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Offers a good breakfast buffet. Very quiet, so easy to relax at the pool without the annoying traffic noise of a megacity.

“Modern Hotel in Unique Setting”

Having been to Singapore many times, we wanted to try a new hotel. Hotel Fort Canning recently opened in an old fort in Fort Canning Park. We thought it was a great value, especially given that its located within easy walking distance from Orchard Road (Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station) and Clarke Quay. The bed was amazing and that's what we will probably remember best about the hotel. We tried the Italian restaurant which had great food and a nice atmosphere- classy but not stuffy. The one negative was that the room felt constantly humid. When I got home, I had to dry my clothes as they felt wet coming out of the suitcase. I know Singapore itself is humid, but I would have appreciated being able to leave the AC on when we left the room (a key card controls the power) in order to prevent the pervasive damp. Other than that, good hotel and I would go back.

Excellent hotel especially considering the price. The hotel is located near orchard road and other hot spots so my taxi cab fares were minimized.

“One of the best!”

One of the best hotel I have ever stayed. All the staff were very friendly and willing to help. One and the only negative for the hotel is that the distance from the closest train station. It says the hotel is 5min walk from the closest train station. BUT, as the hotel is located on the top of the hill, you for sure will sweat and get tired by the time you arrive at the entrance of the hotel. I suggest that you take taxi to the hotel, especially when you carry luggage!

The only reason I booked this hotel was it was the cheapest price on orchard road. I was glad I booked it as it was good value for money.

“Luxurious Boutique Hotel”

Boutique hotel within walking distance to Orchard Road and transit. However, due to the weather (heat, humidity, and rain) walking is not always feasible. This hotel is very nice for business travelers and couples. I do not recommend for families. The accomodations are very nice, comfortable bed, A/C, Ipod docking, LCD TV, complimentary toiletries, robe and slippers available. Beautiful hotel.

“Great hotel for everyone”

When we take a shower, all the bathroom floor get wet, that is the only bad thing in here. other than that is superb!!!!! especially the staff, they are very kind and helpful. We wanna come back and stay this hotel! thank you :))

“Location more suited to adults”

We were surprised that the hotel cleaning staff never seemed to wish anyone a good morning or evening. Something we are used to in Dubai (where we live). Also, the breakfast staff really didn't seem to know what they were doing on a busy weekend day, although the food was good, albeit not as hot as it should be served. Maybe the young staff were really overwhelmed by the guest numbers? Reception staff were great and very helpful with our very late flight out. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay and loved the balcony bathrooms. Such a shame that the Singapore view is really marred by the high rise towers, but only to be expected. The park area is lovely too and the fast access to Dhoby Ghaut meant that the metro was only 5 minutes walk away.
