City living but away from the traffic and smogPosted Jun 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Riders Lodge is situated within comfortable walking distance of major bus routes, and two minutes walk to the Grandstands, which is one of the most innovative demonstrations of repurposed architecture. Stop by for a taste of Singapore, away from the city lights, and don't forget to stop by the bistro at Horse City. This where we love to stay when travelling on business!

Enjoyable getaway experiencePosted Jun 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Had a weekend long stay-cation at Rider's lodge which i really quite enjoyed. It was in a rather forested area tucked away from town, the whole experience felt like a get away from the city. The lodge is 5 mins walking distance from turf city which has since been gentrified with Pasarbella and the more upmarket shops. So it was really lovely spending the afternoon walking leisurely through the farmers market and enjoying all the greenery. It was just like spending the weekend in Australia or America. Room was clean and the reception very friendly and efficient, took us less than 5 mins to check in. Only issue is due to its proximity to the dog day care centre so you would hear the mostly faint sounds of dogs barking in the late morning if you are directly facing it, we didn't find it that to be a problem.

Nice lodge with old British influencePosted May 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The lodge is a nice place for a couple of days' stay. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Sparse selection of TV channels. The breakfast area is quite nice providing a tropical flair. The selection or the quality of the breakfast was not really impressive. Overall, the lodge has the features of a comfortable shelter for a short stay. The absence of in-house eating outlets could be a problem, especially in bad weather because the area is not near such facilities and neither is the area regularly served by roaming taxis.

Pros: The location with trees and mostly quiet
Location: Good location for me and close to where I wanted to be with quick access to city
The hotel was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with some variety. Room was always clean. This was a good location for me and quiet most of the time. It was close to very good organic restaurant and public transport. Thank you to staff
