“Location, Staff, and Price”
This hotel is situated about 100 yards from the River Walk and about 1/4 of a mile walk from Clark Quay, making the location ideal. The price is good but you get what you pay for. The hotel is in rough shape and the rooms are very small, especially the shower (and that's coming from a guy who is 5'6", 130 lbs). There are some very good restaurants all within walking distance, just walk down to the river and turn right or left. There are French and Asian to the right and Clark Quay (just about every type of food) to the left. There is a really good Italian restaurant right next to the hotel called Sailors, there pizza reminded my wife and I of the pizza we used to eat in Napoli, Italia, it's that good. And the owner is Italian.
“Robertson Quay Review”
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is clean, and extremely convenient to the places I want to be in Singapore. The service is efficient, and it is always easy to get a taxi, no matter how early in the morning. The breakfast was fine.
“Tiniest hotel room in singapore”
Friendly staff, very helpful. Hotel room was a shocker, the tiniest room I ever stayed at in Singapore. Definitely not as per photo did expecting. The general interior very outdated. matrass very harsh. But it was clean and great view at Qluarke Quay and on the background the new building of the Marina Bay Sands hotel. I travel to Singapore for 10 years on average 2x per year.
“Good place if on a budget”
Decent place for the money. Good breakfast in the morning too.
“good hotel”
Fine hotel, clean, well maintained. Staff helpful and friendly.
“Great location”
The hotel was located in a centrally located area just steps from the Robertson Quay. Even though the bathroom was extremely small, this did not deter from our pleasant stay. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast was more than expected. We would stay at this hotel again on our next trip to Singapore.
“Robertson Quay Hotel - low cost for a reason.”
Singapore is a great city to visit, but unfortunately rather expensive. As this was a business trip, I was under a budget constraint for accomodation, due to company policy. The RQ hotel was the chosen location. Breakfast here is a dismal and unappetizing affair - one toaster for the whole place, baked beans straight from a can, etc. Rooms are tiny, which is not a problem, but the bathroom was a disgusting mess - exposed pipes, discolored grout, no shower curtain or door, etc. Room climate control is primitive - off, hi, lo. Thermostat is about 10 feet from ground level. Wireless internet does not work, and while there is a pullout shelf for your laptop, the internet cable is too short to reach it. Great location, bad hotel. Give this one a miss.
“A tiny bathroom that overflows everytime”
This hotel is absolutely disgusting. The rooms are too small, dirty, old/decaying equipment and the shower caps it all: It is too small to even attach a door, so everytime you shower you will be flooding the whol bathroom (Well that means about 2 square feet of bathrom at most - between the shower and the toilet seat you will be happy if you can find space to stand up! In the shower there is literally nio space for you to turn. You will be washing only one side of your body). Do not go to this place. For $10 more you can find hotels way better than this.
“Should be renamed to "Robertson HoStel"”
Like all the other reviews stated, the bathroom is really small. There's no division between the shower from the rest of the bathroom so the water will run throughout the rest of the bathroom. Don't expect to have a relaxing shower! I only stayed here for two nights because the rates were cheaper than the other hotels in the area. However, after staying here, the "hotel" is kind of expensive for what you get. The only perk to this place is that it is in a very convenient location to get to Clark Quay restaurants and shopping.
“fair deal, what you paid is what you'll get”
everything seems okay compare to its price. making a little bit improvement on the breakfast would make guest more impress.
