Friendly and helpful staff. Tiny rooms with basic facilities. Handy location though with some little noise from neighbouring establishments at night. Not bad overall.

Beware of this operationPosted Apr 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very dissapointed with the room allocation. Was given two single beds in a tiny room in the basement with no window. After complaining was told that a double or queen bed is merely a request - and could not be guaranteed when booking rooms even one month in advance. Shown to another room on the first floor with an identical layout. The air conditioner sounded like a banshee wailing for a lost daughter. Should have walked out the door and stayed elsewhere. On night 2 - upgraded to a half-decent room with a little more space, a good view of the main street and a queen bed. Much better. Not offered any compensation, guarantee of a good room on the next trip, or even a late checkout when requested for. Beware of this operation - short term cash obviously means more to them than repeat business does.

Little India a great Singaporean experiencePosted Apr 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Thank you to the lovely people at Sandpiper hotel for helping make my stay so enjoyable. The hotel was exceptionally quiet and the AC fantastic after a few hot days out. I would stay here again without doubt as the location is fantastic and there is so much to see, do and great eating choices so close by.

Small rooms, ok service, good locationPosted Apr 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great location! The service was questionable, we broke a mug by accident and they charged us 6 Singapore dollars which was a little upsetting. Will keep your bags BC of early check out time.

Pros: cleanliness and free wi-fi
Cons: it need more cloth hangars and insulation from noise
Location: very near shops of all types
i had difficulty contacting my friend in singapore once i realized my cell phone could not place call in singapore. one of the staff was so gracious and beyond the call of duty used the house phone to call him; worse yet i could not find my friend's phone number and address. only thing i could go by is the church name. he spent minutes and so patience finally located and called my friend. one very important asset was the free wi-fi that i was able to use hotel connection to view other area of interest. thank you and your staff going beyond the call of duty to make our adventure worthwhile and experience the friendliness of the singapore citizen. robert and stephanie chow
