Hotel with nice layoutPosted May 7, 2014
Hotel staffs were not proffesional. Heard them badmouthing their guests. Hotel accesibility is average. There is nice restaurant nearby.Korean. Italian. Pretty layout of hotel room. Recommended for couples if you welcome 'pleasant commentaries' coming from hotel staff. The very nice architecture made it worth the stay.

Dear Alice, First and foremost, please accept my sincere apologies for the shortfalls of service that you encountered during your stay. This is not the level of hospitality that you would come to expect from The Club Hotel. We are equally surprised to hear of receptionist badmouthing guest. Kindly be advised that this is not the level of professionalism here at The Club. We do take this feedback seriously and action will be taken on the respective individual. Miss Alice, your feedback is vital in assisting us in providing the levels of service that we have committed to our guests.

Nice hotel with a unique lookPosted Jan 31, 2014
Pros: Good location, quiet, clean, free wifi
Cons: Iron in the room, better tv reception
Location: Club street bars, Chinatown
No iron in room which was very surprising and inconvenient. Cleaners would move our stuff around the room which was strange however the room was quiet and clean. The tv reception would sometimes go out when the toilet flushed

Club hotelPosted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Generally a good experience except the fact the cable channels kept hanging and you could never get through to anyone on the reception desk (think they were out smoking) - everyone needs a break .

So disappointedPosted Dec 18, 2013
Pros: Great location. Awesome neighborhood.
Cons: Service. Plumbing. Signage.
Location: The location is terrific if you don't mind the late night partying noise, which we did not. In fact, the general cacophony gave us two nights sleep
Shower drain is not at low point in shower, so it floods EVERY time someone showers. There is more to good design than a cool look. They don't replace shower gel, shampoo, etc...unless you call front desk. The rooftop bar looks pretty cool, but there is no signage and they don't exactly make you feel welcome when you go up there. No hostess to direct you to table or bar. I guess if you know your way around, it is ok. It doesn't look like anyone ever eats in the "dining room" which is more like a closet. Apparently, there is a lounge, terrace, and restaraunt (there is signage pointing to them), but we never found them.

Clean and comfy hotelPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Clean and comfy.
Location: Maxwell center is a must visit place for local delights. Tanjong Pagar Road for pubs and restaurants.
Overall, the hotel is clean and nice to stay in after a day of work. The hotel is also near to Maxwell food center, a hawker center whereby you can get nice local delight. There are also plenty of pubs nearby to get a drink or two. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is here for business trip and their office is in the CBD.

Nice hotel close to biz areaPosted Nov 10, 2013
Pros: Good location in Chinatown and close to biz area. Buzzy at nights.
Cons: Shower rooms need upgrading.
Location: In Chinatown so plenty to see and taste. Also very close to biz area/offices.
On Club Street and in/next door to Chinatown. Nice and practical rooms, modern and minimalist hotel environment so quite cool. Good open air bar (Ying-Yang) at the top.

Service staff did not greet us and not helpful. Parking was also an issue. The curtains from the room covering the wall smelled.

OverpricedPosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great location but massively overpriced for both the hotel and the breakfast. For some idiotic reason they had extremely loud music playing until 11.30 on Monday and Tuesday night (why prevent guests from sleeping when there is no one in the bar anyway?).
