Classic; comfortable oasis in heart of the city.

Pros: Its elegance, friendliness, comfort. Staff are excellent - friendly, helpful. As a woman travelling alone, I felt happy and comfortable here.
Cons: Ditch the Nescafe and 'creamer' and put a cafetiere, filter coffee and milk in each room; & complimentary water and ice in the fridge.
Location: Close to Raffles MRT and bus stop. Excellent museum, riverside cafes, hawker centre and shops within walking distance. Pool and spa on site.
The Fullerton is a classic, luxurious, comfortable oasis in the heart of Singapore's busy-ness and bustle. A beautiful riverside location enables easy walking to shops, museums and some lovely riverside cafes. The huge, airy, central atrium is always calm and welcoming, despite all the business obviously done there. There is a real sense here of understated elegance rather than the overwhelming bling, noise and aggrandisement of some of the other city centre hotels that I visited. The Fullerton has a style, elegance and grace; as well as a human scale that the others lack; and I found the staff uniformly courteous, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The downside for me were the awful tubes of instant coffee and tubs of creamer instead of milk in my room. Given the standard of the rest of the hotel, I would have expected a small cafetiere, filter coffee and real milk. Facing Nescafe first thing in the morning was not good to wake up to. A blot on an otherwise extremely restful and comfortable stay. I was travelling alone and some hotels have made me feel very uncomfortable about that. The Fullerton did not. On the contrary, it made me feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, from letting me into my room early after a long trip to giving detailed travel instructions; and that really added to my enjoyment of my holiday.

A historic building by the river

Pros: Beautiful building. Next to the river and park and walking/running paths.
Cons: Train staff to serve one customer at a time.
Location: Museum within 1 minute walk. Good but very expensive restaurants in the hotel. Many restaurants for visitors within couple of minute walk.
The room and staff other than the lobby pastry shop were excellent. I had tea with a friend in mid morning at the lobby restaurant and was told I could pick up my pastry from the display at the corner of the restaurant. A lady at the stand was helping me with our selection. Before I finished my selection, the server was talking to another customer and ignoring me. This is not good customer service. Price is comparable to New York City but half as tasty.

Excellent downtown Singapore hotel

Pros: It is in a very good location with excellent views of the city.
Location: It is close to museums, the waterfront, restaurants and a short taxi ride to shopping.
This is a large, stately hotel in downtown Singapore. It is well suited to business gatherings Great location for business and pleasure as it is a short taxi ride to the shopping district. It has exceptional views of the waterfront most especially at night. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bathrooms are especially roomy and well appointed. The amenities are varied. The pool is beautiful however, it is far smaller than the pictures would lead you to believe. There is little room around it to spend some time in the sun. It is good for laps. Poolside drinks and coffee are not for the faint of wallet. Service requests are promptly acknowledged and delivered in a professional manner.

Fantastic hotel

Pros: Everything about the hotel was just perfect as well as the location
Location: The hotel is very close to the Merlion and numerous restaurants though expensive. The hop on hop off bus top right at the door
We had a quay room with amazing views across the Quay to Marina Bay Sands Hotel and the Singapore Flyer. We took the Straits package and felt it was worth the money as the Mount of food available for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapés meant we rarely went out to dinner. Alcohol was included in the evening canapés with our glasses being topped up quite a few times. Staff were lovely and the service could not be faulted.

Location: Right on Marina Bay, next to MRT for easy cheap transportation. (buy multi-use pass for train and bus service.)
Hotel facility and location wonderful. Very large hotel, so no real personal service - unlike in Thai hotels.

Pros: Very opulent but not pretentious.
Cons: We paid $175.00 for a later check out of 5 hours - perhaps other options could be consider by the hotel.
Location: Easy walk to the Singapore Flyer, China Town, Sky Gardens and a multitude of eateries.
This is a lovely hotel - whilst accommodation is first class, all other services including meals are extraordinarily expensive. $14 .00 for a coffee - $12.00 for a bottle of water. Great location so easy to get to other options.

What am unexpected surprise

Pros: The staff behavior and attitude towards guests bring this wonderful hotel to life!
Cons: Would have liked a European style coffee to be available
Location: Access to All shopping centers was perfect, we went to both Boat Quay and Clarke's Quay which was readily accessible. Rail links easily accessible.
This was our first time staying with the Fullerton group in Singapore. I was so impressed with both hotels! Firstly the staff were so professional and supportive! Be it concieage or the swimming pool attendant the way the team looked after all guests was the best service both my wife and myself had ever experienced. Calls to hotel for little things like a couple of extra tea bags we're responded to so quickly. The hotel interior and particular the foyer were dressed and changed every day and created a wonderful experience for your senses particularly smell. Room rates were very competitive when booked early so I encourage that. I would like to see a better coffee offer in the hotel to cater for European taste if possible! Gym and spa facilities were excellent and the pool perfect. No problem getting taxi's to and from the hotel. All in all a very high standard hotel which my wife and I thoroughly recommend

Xmas staycation at courtyard room 242

I booked a staycation-1 night on Xmas eve at fullerton courtyard room, paid a fairly good early bird deal at sgd$305. Must say service levels were excellent overall especially at check-in. However, the room was quite old and really in need of an overhaul. Furnishings were old even though maintained well by the hotel. Swimming pool is too small and merely for guests to dip, definitely not for serious swimmers.

Expensive getaway

The stay was nothing out of ordinary, no "WOW" factor to talk about. When we first checked in, strands of hair were found in the bath which was quite a turn-off. Was made to take a long walk from carpark to the hotel when we returned after a late night movie as the entrance was locked by midnight and there was no signage to inform customers anywhere at the carpark entrance/exit prior.
