“great hotel value”

Although small by Western standards, it was sufficient for my use while visiting Singapore. The only complaint I had was the intermittent Wi-Fi signals and also the fact that I have to get a new password every 12 hrs or sometimes 2-3 passwords every day.

“Tiny but clean and modern”

This hotel room was clean and modern, but tiny. A great hotel for the price - a welcome relief after traveling through Thailand, and looking to spend a couple nights in Singapore. (It's too bad they don't have budget hotels like this in the U.S. At this price it would be dirty and old.) The shower is part of the bathroom, which took a little getting used to (showering while on top of the toilet was amusing!), and there was no mini-fridge. There is a tiny convenience store right around the corner if you have any immediate snack/beverage needs. Not far from the MRT, and taxis come by regularly. Free WiFi, and the staff is pretty pleasant. You may wish to request to stay on the floor that is not near the pool, as the rambunctious children may wake you up in the morning. The bed was fairly comfy considering it was a twin, and the sheets were very clean and crisp. I would stay here again.

“Small room”

Room was very small with shower/bathroom combo. Was nice neighborhood once you ventured out and Singapore is a nice but expensive vacation spot.

“Basic Hotel just for sleeping”

The hotel is great if you need accomodations for sleeping. The room size are small but adequate for our needs. We were going on a cruise, so we came 3 days early. We used this hotel and we were impressed with great service from the staff and the cleanliness of our room. We will stay again in this hotel

“Clean and decent. Bad Wifi”

Other than the weak wifi signal, the overall experience is great.

“Tiny but clean with a friendly staff”

The hotel staff are very helpful. The room is very tiny (not much bigger than the bed itself). There is no other furniture at all to sit on. But the room itself is very clean and in good condition. Since I was in Singapore on business/sightseeing, this wasn't all bad since I only spent time in the hotel to rest and regroup. The location of the hotel is fairly good. The surrounding neighborhood is nice. The closest MRT station is a 12 minute walk, and is located within a mall which has lots of restaurants. By the way, the Singapore MRT is very good, and presents an easy way to get around the city. The average cost is about $2SGD, and tourist passes are available. Taxis are very expensive. I took a taxi about 5 blocks (when I didn't yet know my way around) and it cost $17SGD. That's when I decided I needed to figure out the MRT, which is dead easy to do.

“Hotel was OK but had spotty service and some bugs in bathroom”

Hotel located near Novena MRT, which means 10 minute walk and a 15 min ride to downtown. The bus ride down there to MRT station is convenient but the bus ride back up is not so much. Food very available near the MRT (food court/ mall). There is also a convenience store and restaurant at the ground level of hotel. Pool was small but ok. The hallways were very loud and noise reverberated all over and I could hear it inside my corner room. The staff seemed to chatter a lot and that woke me up. In the bathroom, there were these tiny tiny almost micro bugs running around - like 1 or 2 or 3 each time i visited the bathroom. The staff was overall nice, but some of them seemed not trained and were disrespectful to me when I asked how to get to the Botanical Garden by public transportation. She told me use the taxi and did not give me eye contact when I asked if there is public transportation. It almost appeared that she was looking up info for me on the computer but in fact, she had already answered my question and just didnt bother to look at me. The other staff were ok.

“Good hotel for tourists - not too far from MRT”

Room is VERY small, but then again, you pay for what you get.

“Super small but clean.”

A budget hotel in Singapore (which is on par with Europe for ridiculous hotel pricing - thanks casino tourists!). You get what you pay for. In this case a super small room and a bathroom/shower where you can sit on the toilet and take a shower at the same time. If you are looking for a cheap place to sleep this is a cut above the typical budget Hotels I have stayed in before (think AQueen and Fragrance) and is probably the best of the bunch. We advised if you book the cheapest room you won't even get a Window. Breakfast is decent but not worth the SGD 10 you will pay for it. There are much cheaper places to eat at with local coffee shops within easy walking distance. The bar next to the hotel is also over priced as well (6.90 for a small bottle of Tiger when you can get a large bottle for 5.50 at a local coffee shop a minutes walk) so avoid. Also make sure you book online so you get free internet (which was very stable) otherwise it is 10 SGD a day.
