We stayed at the HTG for a week at the end of May and it was exactly the retreat we were hoping for. The beach is beautiful, the views from the rooms are gorgeous, and Betty is a wonderful hostess. if you are looking for a quiet place to just get away from it all, this is it.

Fantastic experience at the Bleu Emeraude as beach and water right off your patio. The ocean is crystal clear and much of beach unspoiled by commercialism. Restaurants were great as one can choose from many different type of foods,i.e. French, Italian, Cajun, Vietnamese etc; Plenty of shopping choices on Grand Case and the town Marigot as well.

We stayed at marina view end unit 15. Spacious! You get 2 BR and 2 floors (21 steps up), private patios overlooking marina on both floors. We enjoyed the patio views and visitors (birds, iguanas). Gated parking, though tight. Five restaurants and pizza place a short walk. Dawn Beach is a short walk thru Mr. Busby's Beach Bar. We rented two beach chairs and umbrella combo for $12/day. The shore during our stay was piled with seaweed, and much also was suspended in the water. We could still get in for a swim in areas relatively weed-free. Though snorkeling can be done, the surf was too rough for us to try it. We did visit Islet Pinel and took Aqua Mania trips to Shoal Bay, Anguilla, and to Saba; these were enjoyable and worthwhile. You need a car (or hire a taxi) as there's no hotel pick-up. We also toured Philipsburg and Marigot; other than looking for beaches or restaurants, there didn't seem to be much outside of the capitals.

We enjoyed this location because we were centrally located in the Orient Bay village.
Our Villa offered a beautiful view from the deck and private pool area. We were able to be as
active or lazy as we chose. We enjoyed meals in our Villa as well as many of the Orient Beach village
restaurants Le Pimente,Le Tableau Antoine etc. which were a short walk away. Grande Case and
Ile Pinel are also very close for exploring

GCBC was the ideal spot for my wife and I on our delayed honeymoon vacation. We struggled with where to book at first and stumbled upon Grand Case because of the nearby restaurants, quieter beaches, etc. We were pleasantly surprised!
First off, the location is wonderful. The island of St. Martin isn't that big, so with our rental car (highly recommend) we were able to see other beaches, visit other parts of the island, etc quite easily. That being said, we wanted a hotel/resort that had plenty of conveniences so we didn't HAVE to drive anywhere. We actually only left GCBC by car 3-4 times. 2 of which were to the local market only about 3 min down the road. If you are a FOODIE like us, this is your spot. You are within walking distance to St. Martin's BEST dining...from lower priced "LOLO's" on the beach, to our favorite beach lunch spot Calmos Cafe...or upscale, amazing french cuisine for dinner. The shops in Grand Case are also open late so you can bop around before or after dinner.
2 private beaches. One of them is next to the Sunset Cafe, where super friendly (French AND English speaking) are there to serve you food and drinks from 9-5. If you stay at GCBC, you get FREE access to kayaks, paddle boards, floaties, snorkel gear, etc. If excursions are your thing, the Watersports guys will hook you up with a custom trip (we didn't do that because the free stuff was too good).
GCBC room was ideal. Housekeeping and all staff were great. Views = incredible. Internet = just ok.

My husband and I just returned from a four-night stay at Azure in SXM. This property is absolutely beautiful. You walk out of your room and within 10 steps your feet are on the sand. The view of the Caribbean is stunning - gorgeous turquoise water, sailboats in the distance, absolute peace! The room itself was perfect...comfy king-sized bed, mini fridge, microwave, dining table and chairs, A/C, satellite tv (which we watched very little as the view was tv enough!). The courtyard area was lovely - flowering trees and plants and really cool turtles. The owner (Mike) was very knowledgeable about the island and gave us a list of things to do and places to eat. Very helpful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Azure and are planning a return trip soon. HIGHLY recommended!

We Stayed at Palm Court for another week and enjoyed it just as much as we did the first time. We checked out the day the hurricane hit the island. Our plane flight was cancelled and we were force to stay at another hotel by the airport, and we wished we would have been able to go back to Palm Court. The second hotel was terrible in comparison. Palm Court is clean, with a friendly staff and a nice pool. The rooms are a good size with large bathrooms. We never had to ask for anything from the staff because it was all good, the ice maker was even repaired and was full of ice every time we needed it.

I really appreciated how the hotel staff would take us and drop us off at places (beach, restaurants). This hotel is up a steep hill (which is why they have such a great view) and I was nervous about driving up and down. No problem! They took us everywhere, but even had a "room service" relationship with some restaurants where we could eat in our room. This is a very quiet, very relaxing getaway location in an area known for great food (Grand Case & classic French cuisine; why would you stay at an all-inclusive in this area???). I'm hoping to go back some day to truly enjoy it; we only spent one night here. Watch out for traffic though! What took 25 minutes to get there early in the morning can take over an hour to get back in traffic!
