Beuutiful ViewPosted Apr 27, 2015
Location: A small French restaurant in Cul De Sac (just down the road from Anse Marcel), Ti Bouchon is a must. Definitely one of the best restaurants on the isl
The hotel sits on the ridge above Anse Marcel with breathtaking views. Anse Marcel is a very safe area on the island within easy driving distance from Grand Case, Orient Bay and Pinel Island. This is a small hotel with very friendly and helpful stuff. Every one of our minor concerns were promptly addressed (e.g., broken coffee maker). They drive you to close destinations (such as nearby restaurants and the beach) if you wish. The hotel room we had was very spacious and comfortable with the most beautiful view of the valley below. You can eat at the hotel, if you wish; they serve a continental breakfast (we eat elsewhere).

Charming place but could use some improvementsPosted Apr 6, 2015
The hotel had charming and unique details in a quiet setting. Bathroom could use some updating. Our room's view was nice but not spectacular, I think there are some rooms with a better view though. Hotel staff was very nice, but there were 3 extra charges added to our bill when we checked out that were not correct (2 breakfasts and a mini bar charge). They quickly corrected the mistake when we pointed it out, but I would make sure to look closely at your bill to make sure you are not getting taken advantage of. Overall, it was a nice place to stay on the French side of the island close to Grand Case restaurants and shops and close to beaches, but if I were to choose again I may have picked something on the beach because the hotel and view weren't quite nice enough to compensate for its non beachfront location.

Superbe sejourPosted Mar 31, 2015 on Hotels

Charming hotel. Located by awesome beach.Posted Mar 30, 2015
Excellent staff. Very friendly. Recommend rental car. Excellent beach nearby within walking distance, Anse Marcel Beach. Hotel will shuttle you to the beach and nearby restaurants at no cost. Recommend the Calypso restaurant and also Pinel Island.

Lovely friendly hotelPosted Mar 22, 2015
Tremendous little place, lovely employees, clean and quiet. Two small issues, the mattresses need replacement , they were hard and old. Also our view of Anse Marsel was restricted by overgrown trees. Other than that I would go back in a heartbeat .

Beautiful, quiet, romantic, friendlyPosted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff; large rooms; cool; clean
Cons: Pool is small; breakfast is only OK, and the friendliness of breakfast servers leaves a lot to be desired; bathrooms are nice but European style
Location: Anse Marcel; grand case; swimming and snorkeling boat trips; great restaurants
Marquis Boutique Hotel is perfect for what it is: a beautiful, quiet, romantic place perched on a hill above the best beach in St. Martin. The rooms are large, immaculate, and relatively quiet. Staff are very friendly and quite helpful-they made dinner and activity reservations for us and always got us what we needed and wanted. We were there in March and there were no mosquitoes-so we were able to leave our sliding door open nearly all the time; the breeze kept us cool and comfortable. One potential downside is that we really needed to have a car-we used it to drive to restaurants in Grand Case and to drive down to the beach most days. If renting a car, be aware that the road up to the hotel is very steep-we had a little sedan and always put it in low to get up the hill. This hotel, although wonderful, is probably NOT the best place for families with kids-this is more of a grown-ups romantic getaway. We were there without kids but agreed that if we brought the kids next time, we'd probably want to stay somewhere else. The hotel has an arrangement with a beach club at Anse Marcel, allowing us to have free beach chairs if we bought lunch. We LOVED the beach club-and didn't want to be anywhere else on the island. The beach is perfect-blue, sandy, banked by gorgeous hills, and the food at the beach club is great. We met others on the island who were jealous of our location-next to the best beach and close to Grand Case.

Charming boutique hotel with beautiful view!Posted Mar 16, 2015
We had a wonderful stay at Le Marquis! The hotel is charming and clean, and it overlooks a beautiful view of the beach, which is very close by. The staff was so welcoming and friendly and they made us feel right at home. They were accommodating and full of suggestions for anything we wanted to do. I have never met a friendlier staff! The beach nearby is wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and hope to return some day!

Secluded adorable hotel nestled in the hillsPosted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: The quaint nature and the location
Cons: I wish they offered lunch!
Location: Pinel Island is really close and so fantastic to visit. Ansel beach is quiet and beautiful just a shot walk or shuttle ride away
We had an amazing time here. The hotel staff are all super friendly and accommodating. They made reservations for us as well as made great suggestions of restaurants and places to go. I loved the private feel of the hotel. The location up in the hills provided for such a beautiful view and the most quaint experience. The room was well decorated and had a fantastic terrace. I would go back in a heartbeat!

The nicest people in any hotel.Posted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: The staff.
Location: Great restaurants in Gran Case, beach on Pinel Island and the beach bar in Anse Marcel.
Due to a booking error ( not their's) our room was not available when we arrived and they were full. They found us terrific accommodations nearby. The staff was wonderful the room was great and the views were incredible.
