“A nice oasis in Sioux Center”

This hotel was comfortable and clean. The only complaint we had was the quality of the pillows. They were like rocks to sleep on. Otherwise, this Econolodge was the perfect location for our weekend in Iowa. The breakfast food was acceptable, the staff was professional and friendly, and the room spotless.

This was our second stay at the Econo-Lodge in Sioux Center. We were given one of the rooms which had both a door to the inside hallway and also to the outside parking area. Once when we were returning to our room and entering from the outside parking area, we found our door to be unlocked. I believe this was due to a fault in the latch. Also, during the night the wind blew this same door open. Needless to say, I'm just glad we were in a little town like Sioux Center and our safety was never at great risk! The room was hot and small and beds were uncomfortable. However, after staying at all three local hotels, I would stay at the Econo-Lodge before I'd stay at the Colonial Motel again. The Holiday Inn Express is top notch if you don't mind the higher price.
