Easy to find - close to where we needed to be....Posted May 23, 2013
We've stayed here before and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. The breakfast was very good and the overall experience was very good.

Affordable, good amenities, with a great locationPosted Sep 4, 2012
Pros: Nicer pool and hot tub area than other hotels in the area. Its location was very practical for dining and shopping. Rooms were updated and clean.
Cons: If I had to have any, the amount of available parking and maybe the exterior appearance. It is a dark uninviting grey color. Only a cosmetic flaw.
Location: Just off 41st street, west of the mall across Hwy 29. It is close to dining, shopping, the waterpark, and many other things.
For the price, this hotel is very nice. It has a continental breakfast, nice pool and hot tub. Check out time is at 11am but they were very accommodating to a noon check out. The rooms were nice with granite counter tops. Our standard double queen room was well equipped with a nice TV, microwave and mini refrigerator. The location is very close to the newer business district of Sioux Falls and the highway system for quick travel. The only thing negative things to say are that the outside exterior of the hotel does not look as updated and nice as the hotel actually is and the available parking is barely enough to support the rooms they have available. We arrived back late one night and there were literally two spaces left. All in all though, this hotel is one of the better for the money in Sioux Falls because of the amenities and location.

DisappointedPosted Aug 12, 2012
The place is hidden so it is kind of hard to find. The staff at the front desk was very friendly. No elevator so you need to carry your bags up the one flight of stairs. The toilet seat was almost off. There was a few pieces of mud on the carpet under computer desk. No laundry bag to be found. The pool area was clean and well maintained. The free breakfast in the morning was disappointing. The apple juice was almost water, the sausage links were extremely spicy and the milk in the carton tasted funky but was not out of date. Our stay was short and I would not stay here again.

Great overnight stop. Would stay here again.Posted Jul 23, 2012
Pros: Good location and comfortable rooms.
Cons: Breakfast buffet was very crowded but we were able to get all we needed.
Location: Excellent location. Movie theatre close by.
Hotel is in a good location. Very close to shopping, restaurants, and I-29. Beds and room were comfortable.

Very Satisfied with this hotel!Posted Nov 7, 2011
Location: The area of this hotel is convenient. Just follow 41st street and there is everything you need.
Hotel Staff were very Nice! Continental Breakfast. Pool and Hot Tub kept clean! Very nice pool area. Has a Pool Table and a couple Arcade Games. Just off the Interstate, but is quiet! Vending Machines and Ice! Rooms have Flat screen Tv's, Small fridge, and a microwave! Only Con: I did not see an elevator to go to the second floor. Conveniently located just of 41st street. A main road in Sioux Falls with gas stations, restaurants, and the Empire Mall!

would returnPosted Jul 14, 2011
Had no problems with anything. Keys worked, reservations were there, check-in went quickly, staff friendly, room clean and adequate. Toilet was extremely low (short), but they made up for it with a very high sink. The carpenter who installed the sink must have mis-read his tape measure. Not a big problem, just made one feel like a giant in the bathroom and a short person using the sink. Several TV channels didn't match the card, think its because cable changed some numbers.

Top-Notch HotelPosted Aug 25, 2010
I have stayed in AmericInn in the past. This is by far one of the nicest in which I have stayed. I did notice that although it was supposed to be locked 24 hours a day, the outer entry door on that wing was NOT latching during the daylight hours though seemed to latch completely late at night.

This hotel was great for the price. Beds were a bit too firm, but the cleanliness of the rooms made up for it. The pool area is in great condition, although the shallow end is almost too deep for pre-schoolers.
