“Smoke filled hotel”
When I arrived at the hotel I could smell smoke immediately. I went to my room hoping that the smoke smell would not be noticable there. Much to my disappointment the smoke smell was even worse in the room. When I asked if I could move to another room I was told the hotel was booked.
“Short weekend in Sioux Falls”
Hotel was great, clean rooms and decent breakfast the next morning including, eggs, waffles, sausages, bacon, cereal, & toast. Location is downtown and close to some restaurants and just a short drive to about anywhere in the city. Parking lot is small-ish but not too much of an issue. Overall I would stay here again and recommend to others.
“Suited our needs”
We like the Country Inn & Suites brand. The rooms are always comfortable and we love the breakfasts with the "make your own waffle" stations. The room we booked through Expedia was for a smoking room (we don't smoke), but at check-in, the front desk lady was able to switch us to a non-smoking room. She said that was no problem to switch after you've made the reservation -- just call the hotel and they will do that for you. The only downside to getting that room was that it was right across from the elevator and the walls were VERY thin. So we heard the elevator and the ice machine running until late and again early in the morning. The pool and hot tub were nice (they could have used a good cleaning after the weekend though). We would have preferred the pool be warmer and the hot tub not be quite so hot, but we had a good time using the facilities. The shower heads were great and the soaps were awesome. I loved the way they smelled (not your generic hotel soaps). Check out was a little tricky -- the front desk clerk wasn't there to take our keys, so we left a note with one of the breakfast workers as to our room number with our keys. It was a nice downtown hotel and suited our needs as we were passing through.
“Great Location”
This was the second time we've stayed at this hotel (the last was several years ago). Both times we were pleased not only with the location in downtown Sioux Falls, but with the quality of the establishment. It's well maintained, clean, and quiet. The bed was exceptionally comfortable.
“Will use again”
Well satisfied. Purchased two rooms, one for my daughter and child, and one for my wife and myself. Both were fine.
