Nice decor

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Pool area is good for young and old. If water slide is your main attraction, be aware of limited hours.
Cons: Curved shower rods. Exhaust fans in bath. Paper and pen in rooms.
Location: Not much extremely close, but short drive to just about everything. Would be very convenient for concert goers at Premier Center.
The marble bathroom floors are nice but cold. I have grown to hate when there is no curved shower rod and there was none here. (hate curtain clinging to me!) Especially considering the bath is small. Plus the assist bar in the shower is very cold if you brush against it! And why do hotels no longer have exhaust fans in bathrooms?? Foggy mirrors are the worst! Beds were comfy. No issues with the room. Our biggest surprise was to find out the water slide is open limited hours. We were lucky to have them open it on and off during our one night stay. Our young traveler would have been super bummed if he didnt get to use it! The hours are clearly posted in the lobby but at the time I booked, I was not aware the slide would not have been available on a Sunday afternoon/night. Wristbands are needed in the pool area but none were given to us at check-in. After being scolded in the pool area for not wearing them, one of our party went to desk to obtain them only to find that many had not been given bands so she had to wait in line in a lobby where sub-zero wind blew in every time the main doors opened. So overall things were acceptable, not exceptional.

Nice motel for the price. Even though it was winter I wished I could have used the air conditioner.

Not like the pictures

Posted Feb 4, 2015
Checked in on a busy Saturday. Front desk tried to give us 4 passes for the pool not 5 as told by other employees. Pool was very cold. Pool had floating debris in it. Overcrowded and very noisy. No towels were stocked. Elevator was constantly wet from guests. Room was comfortable. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Lights were very dim. Room was not stocked with tissues or towels. Guests were running up and down the halls and slamming doors till 11pm. Very noisy. Continental breakfast was good. Guests were eating with bare feet and in wet swim suits. Gross.

Great New Years weekend

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: The water park.
Cons: Pricing was a bit over board.
Location: There are many shopping stores within easy driving distance.
Grandkids and my sister joined my wife and myself at the motel for New Years. We had a great time in the pool. The only downfall was that the whirlpool was not working.

Nice and cozy

Posted Jan 3, 2015
I had booked this hotel room at the last minute for New Years Eve and was very happy I switched my reservation to Dakotah Lodge. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and did a great job handling a very busy night. I have stayed at far more expensive hotels and had not near the experience I did here. I live in Sioux Falls but I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone I know! Extra bonus is they are pet friendly too!
