“Wonderful location”

The location is excellent! We really enjoyed our stay in Sitka. Breakfast was great. While in Sitka, we most enjoyed seeing the the Raptor Center and the National Historical Park (Totem Pole Loop).

“Good stay at Sitka”

The hotel is located near the city center and very convenient for walking around the city. The room is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

“Nice place to stay on the waterfront in Sitka.”

It's a nice hotel on the waterfront in downtown Sitka. Everything was excellent. It's pricey compared to similar hotels in the lower 48, but everything is pricey in Alaska. I've stayed at the Super 8 in Sitka, which was not a good experience. For the extra $60 a night I would always stay at the Shee Atika.

“unhelpful staff”

The pickup bus for our connection never arrived. We,finally got a cab but the desk staff, knowing the same thing had happened the previous day, was completely unhelpful. This although there was a hotel shuttle bus in front of the hotel in full view

“decent hotel”

Not a lot of options in Sitka but very well located.

The hotel upped the price from original booking without any notice. Room was ok. Staff & restaurant was good.

“Totem Square Inn - Sitka”

Hotel was close to everything but next to a really noisy bar and apparently the locals really like to party loudly. If you stay at this hotel, opt for rooms on the entry sid and not on the back side. Other than that, hotel was clean, staff was nice and the restaurant was good.

“A few problems”

Sitka is not a place with a lot of night action. But what "action" there is, or at least noise, happened behind this hotel the night I stayed there. It was noisy. Perhaps they have quiet rooms? Also the mattress was much-indented where one sits down to get into bed, making for a lumpy "foundation." I told the management about the mattress problem, so perhaps they will fix it?
