Noisy at night close to a bar Person at desk rude when I asked for abox of Kleenex as ours was empty. Had to leave hotel for breakfast. I wiped dust from headboard. Priced too high for quity of room and service

Nice hotel close to everything downtown

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: It was close to downtown and pioneer home.
Cons: The coffee shop was not open. They could have provided better selection of things to eat.
Location: Short walk to restraurants and shopping. There was a herring opening and a short walk to view all the activity.
Staff was nice. Appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport. The room was clean but nothing special. Nice view and close to the water.

O.K. for a short stay.

The shuttle driver started off without shutting the door. One passenger was still loading and would have been injured if another passenger hadn't pulled him in. Other than that the staff was fine.

Nice place to stay on the waterfront in Sitka.

Posted Mar 16, 2013
It's a nice hotel on the waterfront in downtown Sitka. Everything was excellent. It's pricey compared to similar hotels in the lower 48, but everything is pricey in Alaska. I've stayed at the Super 8 in Sitka, which was not a good experience. For the extra $60 a night I would always stay at the Shee Atika.

Totem Square Inn - Sitka

Posted Aug 5, 2012
Hotel was close to everything but next to a really noisy bar and apparently the locals really like to party loudly. If you stay at this hotel, opt for rooms on the entry sid and not on the back side. Other than that, hotel was clean, staff was nice and the restaurant was good.

Cons: Price change without notice
The hotel upped the price from original booking without any notice. Room was ok. Staff & restaurant was good.

Pleasant stay at convenient location

Posted Jul 13, 2012
Pros: Friendliness of hotel staff.
Cons: High room rate. Lack of choice of a continental breakfast.
Location: Convenient
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The availability of espresso coffee near reception was very welcome. The high room rate for this class of accommodation makes it less attractive.

Wonderful location

The location is excellent! We really enjoyed our stay in Sitka. Breakfast was great. While in Sitka, we most enjoyed seeing the the Raptor Center and the National Historical Park (Totem Pole Loop).
