I did not like that when I checked in they did not give the requested room size I had requested and tried to charge me for a roll away since the lady at the counter did not know how to change my room to what I had wanted to begin with. Then they tried to double bill my stay.

I was in Sitka for a long weekend and I would stay at this hotel again without doubt! Our room was decently spacious, although I wish they had a double queen/ single king option instead of double beds but space would be an issue I understand. Our room had a Mountain View and a kitchenette that suited our needs with a coffee maker, although if you’re going to have a kitchenette with stovetop and a keurig, you should probably have dishes and cooking pans in the room as none were provided. The towels and bathroom were clean but the fake drawer beneath the sink fell off when I touched the top of the sink and I could tell by the duct tape that was on the back of it, it had been a previous issue that the handyman failed to fix adequately, but this wasn’t an issue as I told housekeeping and went about my day. The hotel itself is within walking distance of everything and situated on the waterfront and right next to awesome restaurants! But don’t bank of having breakfast, it’s vaguely continental with 4 different stale cereals and a gallon of milk with a loaf of bread in the fridge and a toaster next to a keurig, we recommend going to Mean Queen for breakfast! Overall I would still give the hotel a 4/5 because service was great and everyone was very kind!

I got stranded in Sitka after my flight couldn’t land in Juneau. I booked a room for the night, the shuttle hotel was very convenient, the front desk staff was super nice and it was within walking distance from many places. Not at all mad I was stuck in Sitka for a day.

This hotel needs a lot of attention. The staff was up knowledgeable and very unwelcoming. We booked our stay here because it said it provided shuttles to and from the airport and the ferry — which upon arrival they said they do not do anymore. Their “continental breakfast” was slices of bread and butter or cereal — no other options. The room was fine and the location was great to downtown but everything else was pretty bad. They definitely seem like they are in a desperate state within that hotel and it needs a lot of attention to fix it up for future stayers.

The Sitka Hotel is at the end of the business and historical area of town, so it is quiet but also convenient to the tourist attractions. The hotel itself was comfortable with modern amenities and still had the feel of a quaint inn. The only thing we were disappointed in was the breakfast provided. We ate a fantastic breakfast the second morning just down the way at the Mean Queen! The Sitka Restaurant was actually behind the hotel on the next street over. The food was delicious and service excellent.

I have never been to a hotel with just irritable desk staff. They were just plain rude!!!! All eight of us traveling experienced the same unfriendly and an inhospitable responses from the staff. Would I go there again - absolutely not!!!

Place was clean but very poor management or lack of. Shuttle service always very late, 50mins, even daily scheduled airport returning shuttle was late. Front desk on long personal call before acknowledging us. Paid for deluxe room with full kitchen but received standard room no kitchen because rooms didn't get cleaned per front desk. No management on site. Called,left message & texted manager but no response ever. No basic creamer only vanilla. Staff doesn't care because management doesn't care

Property good. Helpful airport drop-off shuttle unexpected and welcome. Property a little dated, but large room and clean. Desk staff a little surly - but everybody has bad days. Good location and all and all a good choice.

Our bathroom was dirty. The toilet and shower had not been cleaned. No toilet paper in the room. There were dirty utensils in the kitchen sink. Our room must have been over the restaurant kitchen as we could hear constant banging noises until after 10 pm. The front desk staff was not friendly. When we checked in the clerk was on the phone on a personal call and barely acknowledged us and didn’t even look up while passing us our key.

Do not stay here! Website says ferry shuttle, but it's wrong. Front desk staff NOT friendly or helpful. Hotel NOT clean. I needed to change rooms (which I NEVER have done) and they treated me like dirt! Noisy due to thin walls, rooms smell like old cigarettes (can't get away from it). My second room smelled so bad we couldn't sleep. Sheets in the sleeper sofa were stained and soiled, don't know when they were changed last. Staff was very rude and don't know good service.
