Adequate accomodations.

Hotel is adequate. Looks like a nice place to have an event. The bathrooms could use some updating...the hot and cold faucets are separate making it very difficult to get a pleasant water temperature to wash your hands or face with.

Lovely grounds but very loud

Posted Aug 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
The grounds of the hotel are wonderful and the main dining area/views over the area are spectacular. However, we were in the cheaper rooms and you pay for what you get. Also, as a wedding was on, guests were extremely loud outside our door throughout the night. We did not find this terribly amusing. They have lovely pictures on the wall and a great pub nearby (The Bull). All in all, it was on ok stay.

Lovely setting

Posted Jun 1, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Price of room and drinks
Location: Beautiful surroundings
Had a lovely stay for a friends wedding. I would stay here again although our room was adequate, clean and comfortable, it wasn't very special for the price paid. I think you are paying for the location. The bar is expensive at £5 for single spirit and mixer. Staff very friendly and helpful. They seem happy in their work which makes for a pleasant experience.

Great break!

Posted May 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is quite simply stunning! the grounds are beautiful and the relaxing atmosphere was a great change to work life, it is perfect for a nice chilled out weekend. On arrival we enjoyed a few beers in the bar with the log fire burning away in the background and the panoramic view of the lake out of the french windows, then checked in to our room (58) we payed extra for a Luxury room and it was work every penny, We were quite fortunate with the weather so we had the oppertunity to sit out on our balcony and relax in the sun. The following day we drove to Malham cove which is a 10 min drive away. In conclusion the hotel is GREAT!
