Skjaak is located approximately 170 miles (274 kilometers) from Oslo, the country's capital.

Rana, is another good place to explore. It is 25 miles (40 kilometers) from Skjaak and offers a diverse range of points of interest, such as Mo Church, Svartisen and Havmannen. If you have enough time, it's worth investigating Arctic Circle Museum (Polarsirkelsenteret) and National Library (Nasjonalbiblioteket) before you return to Skjaak.

Tourists in Eastern Norway often head to the region's farms, open-air exhibits and open-air museums. If the sun isn't shining, don't panic, Eastern Norway offers a range of art museums, history museums and theaters, that will keep you and your family entertained.
