Cons: We flooded the bathroom every time we took a shower. Unfortunately the shower curtain was inadequate.
The hotel is well-priced and conveniently located, a very short walk from the centre. It is clean, comfortable and the free wifi works well. The staff are helpful and speak English. The breakfast room is pleasantly located on the top floor.

Would stay here againPosted Jun 6, 2014
Kindly shuttle bus driver from Skopje airport dropped us near hotel super 8, would have been bit difficult to find if walking from Skopje central bus station. Once in hotel we found comfortable bed, clean, tea/coffee making facilities( if you prefer English tea, bring your own+powdered milk) breakfast was so good and plentiful, we eat breakfast at 7:30 and didn't have lunch till about 3:30pm. Would definitively recommend. We booked few weeks ahead and paid £41. Bargain.

Nice hotel--if you get a refurbished roomPosted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: The staff is pretty friendly. The breakfast is ample and includes some interesting local items. The newly renovated rooms are great.
Location: Although not apparent at first, the hotel is RIGHT BY the old city. Cross the parking lot across from the hotel and at the far end, turn right.
I had two separate one-night stays at the Hotel Super 8 hotel within a five day period. On my first stay, I was told my room wasn't quite ready and offered an alternate room with a balcony. That room had a number of problems. It was small and hard to maneuver in; the bathroom was very cramped; the hot water was supplied by an in-room tank that quickly ran out; and the balcony--while nice--wasn't really private and made the room feel less than fully secure. When I returned a few days later, I got a higher floor room without a balcony, but recently refurbished. This room was great! Roomy and stylish. Large bathroom with a design that would make any boutique hotel proud. Large windows looking out at the castle and over the city. Even this room had a few design flaws (i.e. because you need the key both to turn on the electricity AND to lock the door, you end up having to figure out how to lock the door in the dark). But I was very comfortable in and pleased with this second room. The location of the hotel is very good in the city center, close to the old town, the castle, and the main squares.

Stop over before driving to OhridPosted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: The best quality of the hotel was the friendly and helpful staff along with the hotels location.
Cons: Parking is limited here and your time of arrival and date will determine how easy it is to find.
Location: Old Bazaar and the city center are very close by as are several of Skopje's attractions.
My partner and I wanted to stay here due to its location between the city center and the old bazaar. The location for Skopje is excellent, but the address will not match your GPS. The address makes perfect sense if you've spent time in ex-Soviet countries. The facilities were fine and the restaurant that is attached is good. You will have to walk some steps due to the way the lift is set up, so it is not the best for those physically impaired. The old bazaar is very close and is worth seeing, although it doesn't match up with other bazaars in the former Yugosvlavia. If you are looking for a central location in Skopje to see the sites and to be close to restaurants, bars, and sites, then this is a good location. Be careful if you drive to the hotel. Make sure you are not waved into the parking garage because you will have to pay to get out. The hotel has parking directly in front but can be a hassle depending on the time of day and day of the week you arrive. The hotel staff is very accomodating when it comes to helping you park your car.

Great location for visiting Skopje. Close to all major sites and the main bus terminal. Staff was unbelievable helpful. Room and hotel are a bit dated but very clean and well maintained. Free wifi was fast and worked well. I'd stay hee again!

Great Location, Great StaffPosted Jan 10, 2014
Definitely found this hotel to be a great value. It's location is great for seeing downtown sights, Stone Bridge, the mall and walking distance from the main bus terminal. Very close to the Bizarre Market area. The room itself was acceptable, clean and well maintained. Excellent free wifi reception in my room. The real asset of this property was the staff. So very helpful and attentive. This hotel is a very good value. When in Skopje, I'll stay here again.

The hotel was clean, service was good and the location was very close to town. They didn't keep my passport in reception like previous reports

Great Staff, Location, Internet, surroundings...Posted Apr 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
One of best hotels i have ever stayed. Outstanding location, 5 minute walk to square, 20 minute walk to transportation center. Friendliest people who will do anything even if you only mention you want something. Sat and talked with owner twice who is outstanding. Will help in every way. If I return to Skopje, I will stay here for certain.

Pros: Great view from the breakfast room

Excellent with a few caveatsPosted Dec 26, 2012 on Hotels.com
Room was well-furnished, with a comfortable bed, but bathroom stank of sewer gas and combination heater/AC unit didn't produce heat. Great service, except for them insisting on keeping your passport for the duration of your stay, even if you offer to pay up front. Also, they're in bed with the taxi cartels and will charge you 2-3x the normal rate for a taxi to the airport, or 10x the rate for the airport bus that leaves from 10 minutes south on foot.
