Pros: Great view from the breakfast room
Location: Perfect for the bazaar and the stone bridge
The staff couldn't be more helpful, they directed me to parts of the city I wouldn't otherwise of seen and were really nice.

Excellent with a few caveats

Room was well-furnished, with a comfortable bed, but bathroom stank of sewer gas and combination heater/AC unit didn't produce heat. Great service, except for them insisting on keeping your passport for the duration of your stay, even if you offer to pay up front. Also, they're in bed with the taxi cartels and will charge you 2-3x the normal rate for a taxi to the airport, or 10x the rate for the airport bus that leaves from 10 minutes south on foot.

Great hotel for everyone
Posted Jan 5, 2012
Pros: They hold onto your keys, passports and personals for you at the front desk while you are sightseeing or clubbing. They are very professional
Cons: The only thing is a small tv, but that's not why anyone is really in the city for.
Location: In the middle of everything
The hotel is on a busy-intersection corner. Perfectly placed in the middle of everything within walking distance. The Old Bazar and Kale fortress are both less then 5 minutes away. The city square and city park are both 15-20 minute walk across the river from the hotel. The hotel Super 8 also has two very nice, but cheap restaurants beneath and an exchange money center is part of the hotel so you don't have to deal with ATMs or rip-offs

Best Little Hotel in Skopje

Pros: Staff, location, cleanliness
Cons: nothing
Location: 5 minute walking distance to town center, shopping areas
When we tipped the cleaning lady, she bought us a small gift and left it in our room the next day. I think, that summarizes our experience. Clean, well kept, incredibly friendly staff. We plan to go back to Macedonia next year and would not consider staying anywhere else.

Good room, good location, good service

Location is 2 minutes from bazaar, a little more to castle and town centre. Many places to eat for different budgets. Room heating, cooling and bathroom all excellent. Lift was helful. Front office staff and breakfast staff all cheerful and out to give the best service. Breakfast buffet was substantial and the burek and scrambled eggs cooked hot. Highly recommended.

Big Problem
Posted Jan 26, 2012 on Hotels.com
I had reservations for 2 rooms on 2 different nights on a trip to and from Bulgaria. The first night, everything was wonderful as it had been on my previous visits to Super 8. On the return trip, however, the hotel had only one room. I showed them the hotels.com confirmation for 2 rooms; the staff said they had made a mistake and only had one room available. My colleague stayed at Super 8, and I was escorted to another, vastly inferior, motel in Old Town. I still think Super 8 is a great value with a great breakfast. Unfortunately, the hotel really goofed up this time, and I have to give it low ratings.

You can tell they want customer service to be top priority. Kind staff, good breakfast. I would book here again.

an ok place

Pros: breakfast buffet
Cons: one spooky thing about the hotel was that there were many stray dogs roaming around the hotel property, howling at night
An ok mid-range hotel - not too fancy, but not too cheap. No frills. Nice free breakfast buffet. Unfortunately and suprisingly, the hotel was unable to do currency conversion (either euros or dollars), which is rare in this day in age for a hotel of this size. This was problematic because there was no currency conversion available in the airport when I arrived at 8pm (be forewarned)...The hotel is a 20-30 minute walk from the old town, and the shortcut across from the hotel is literally down a muddy footpath on a hill and across deserted railroad tracks ant a large but desolate rail station....there were plenty of buses at the front of the rail station - if you could only figure out where they were headed...one spooky thing about the hotel was that there were many stray dogs roaming around the hotel property, howling at night (the hotel perimeter has a defunct rail yard on one side and a defunct warehouse on the other - not the most scenic, but not too important
