Excellent hotel for a business trip
Posted Jan 12, 2013
Pros: Free wifi and access to printer on each landing
Location: Very little culture or history
I travelled to Katowice on business staying two nights and picked this hotel because of its good reviews - it certainly lived up to expectations - I could not fault it - there is not much to do in Katowice so when I had some free time I visited Krakow and Auschwitz - both well worth the trip

Standard business hotel
Posted Jan 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've stayed in the Angelo regularly for about 9 months now, and it serves well as a comfortable business hotel. It is close to the centre of Katowice (although not in it). The gym is poor, but otherwise the facilities are good.

Great Hotel for family and business
Posted Jan 8, 2013
Pros: The whole atmosphere of the friendliness
Cons: nothing
Very impressed with the hospitality and friendly welcoming by the staff. The proffessionalism and appearance of the hotel is equivelant to alot of five star hotels around. The food was of very high standard and the service was very promt and polite. I will definately visit again and highly recommend this hotel

The hotel felt really comfortable, clean and generally excellent all round. Great choices for breakfast and excellent service from the staff. I would definitely return in the future.

The hotel is very clean and new and a 10 minute walk from the station. The Staff was very friendly and helpful and the room large clean and with a very nice and modern bathroom. The hotel style is modern with trendy touches.

Not impressed, many dishonest reviews online.
Posted Jan 26, 2010
This is one of Katowice's newest hotels and the 5th I have stayed at. This hotel has flooded the online world with dishonest reviews on other travel sites and the actual hotel is so-so at best. It is a three starsl, there is only one or two five star hotels in Katowice and this isn't one. The rooms are fairly small without drawers to unpack, and my room was upgraded. The service is new and inexperienced, the first day I didn't have coffee for breakfast as the staff were randomly attending things without any system, beyond that the breakfast was one of the better that I've had in Katowice. The hotel is plagued by many small annoyances. Internet was free for 2 days and paid for 2 others, however for most of the paid days it was non-functional. I had one bar of soap for sink and bath for 3 days, but for some reason the last day I had 2 bars. There are many Internet stations in the hotel, including two on the 5th floor, but none of them had Internet and it seemed that this was the case for a while based on the notes others had left. I didn't eat at the restaurant for dinner but it seemed to be decent. There is a Jazz bar but there is only music on Thursday nights. The hotel has an arrangement with a cab company and you pay nearly half the street rate if you call in advance and have the hotel cab company pick you up from the airport. Overall, nothing special, a 3 star business hotel and they lose points for obvious online dishonesty.

I have read your comment carefully and I want to thank you for sharing your remarks regarding your stay in angelo Hotel Katowice. In the beginning I would like to apologize for all aspects that seemed to be an inconvenience for you and are below our 4-star hotel standards. Basing on TripAdvisor and other internet platforms comments most guests experienced a wonderful time with us and I believe their comments are based on real situations however negative feedback is very helpful for us as it gives us area of improvement that we need to achieve on the way to perfection. We are glad that you enjoyed the free upgrade to executive rooms nevertheless the hotel also offers higher standard accommodation where the rooms are even more than twice bigger. As regards the internet connection, following our guests’ comments it is now included in our free services. I hope that we will have another opportunity to welcome you again in angelo Hotel Katowice and you will notice the improvement that we have been working on since the hotel opening. With kind regards,

Katowice - not far from Auschwitz

the hotel was very good, the restaurant was excellent. We had never been to Poland and were a little surprised by the number of deserted buildings. All hotel was tops and the staff were very helpful. Our car didn't have the GPS data for Poland so it was very hard to find things. Polish is not easy to read.. Otherwise we had a good trip and enjoyed it!
