I had a very bad check-in experience. At 4am, desperate to get to bed after a long day and having made an online booking, the lady at reception showed absolutely zero initiative or compassion. I ended up suggesting to pay a cash deposit until they were able to locate the reservation. Bean counters should not be employed for client-facing roles.

Poor service, not worth the money.
The service was ‘okay’. I asked for an iron to my room they said I couldn’t have one and had to go to an ironing room (take all my clothes down two floors, iron it and come back up even after I had just had a shower and I was in my pyjamas). The coffee was instant coffee in the room so if you aren’t a fan I would not recommend. The mattress was too soft, it hurt my back (and I never have problems with my back) so I had to sleep in the sofa bed in the room as it was harder. I asked for fresh milk for my coffee in the bedroom and they said I had to pay (room service) what hotel makes you pay for milk in the room for your coffee! I ordered food in the restaurant and they didn’t bring the whole order so I had to wait whilst the other we’re eating for my food to arrive. Overall I would not recommend and I would not go back. There are other hotel chains around that area for around the same price, I will definitely try one of them instead.

Professional staff and nice ambience. Breakfast area need to be expanded. At peak times staff cannot keep up with demand and food replenishment is slow. I had room 1125 and the bathroom, considering I was told it was the top end of the rooms on offer was very small.

Did not book Novotel for a long time, I was very surprised with its quality in Katowice, for that price it is very adequate offer. Spa, pool, sauna, clean and spacious room, rich breakfast with even fresh squeezed orange juice, seemed like 4+ star hotel. Personnel is friendly and considerable, helped to change my room to another one without any delay once I found that my first room had a cigarette smell. In other words, best in Katowice so far, totally recommend.

Relaxing stay
Lovely place to stay, a littleness bit out of the city, but an awesome hotel. Very clean, great view of the city, very comfortable, with helpful staff - we got an upgrade as it wasn't very busy, which was a nice bonus! Gym and swimming pool were not the greatest, but were there. Conveniently located Lidl next door too. Disappointed we were only there for one night! Will definitely look at Novotel as an option regularly now
