Bliss

We arrived half an hour early, but that was no trouble as the staff allowed us into our room. Couldn't fault the room, clean and accommodating. The bed was so comfortable too! We had an Afternoon Tea (which is a must!) in the dinning room overlooking the beautiful gardens and a sumptuous cooked breakfast in the morning. This hotel is a perfect stay for anyone wishing to dine at 'The Hinds Head' in Bray as it's only 12 mins away

Lovely Setting and view shame about breakfast

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Beautiful view and quiet.
Cons: Breakfast! Staff could do with talking to guests and supplying menus for breakfast.
Location: Windsor good for sightseeing and shopping. Segway experience and activities at Windsor Bray Park
The Hotel is in a pretty setting and the view from our room was lovely. The room was fine but the bed albeit very large was remarkably hard and felt like we had slept on the floor. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent and the waitress on duty (think her name was Hannah) was delightful and had the balance of privacy and attentiveness. Food was absolutely delicious. If only this had been repeated by the staff at breakfast. The breakfast was awful - no menu - cheap bought in sausages and scrambled egg. We were seated away from the wedding party who had not yet come down and told to help ourselves to the buffet. Waitress was not at all happy or warm in her manner. I was surprised there was only one egg dish which was scrambled. When I mentioned this at checkout the receptionist said it was because there was a wedding on and I could have asked for a plated breakfast ( I am not telepathic - bit late now!). I feel this is a hotel who are not bothered by repeat business. Shame because it could have been so much better.

Pros: Everyrthing. Nice quiet setting- a bit of old world charm
Location: Good spot. Near Marlow and Windsor with the Cliveton gardens just down the road.
They made us feel like wwe were at home. Excellent breakfast, comfortable large room and the dinner package was top value. It will be our home base for future trips to England
