Day at Henley RegattaPosted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Location, excellent bus service into Slough and plenty of Taxis for the return journey.
Location: The location was good for us, but from what we saw of the surrounding area, not very much to do, but there was a bus service into Slough.
We recently stayed 2 nights at the Copthorne Hotel. Slough when visiting Henley Regatta. Our stay was a most enjoyable experience. This was our first visit to this particular Hotel and it will not be our last. Convenient for buses into Slough and the railway station for journeys further afield.

Copthorne Hotel Slough great for Windsor RacesPosted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Location from motorway and close enough to Windsor and Eton.
Cons: Air conditioning in the rooms, external noise (whistling on 6th floor). Early check-in if possible.
Hotel is located just off roundabouts and business park so very handy location. We stayed at the hotel whilst going to Windsor Racecourse. Unable to check-in early but was able to leave belongings with concierge. Staff were very helpful and sandwich from the bar was very nice. Room good size, but we could hear a high pitched whistling noise from about 6.30am onwards. Thought it came from the bathroom, but it would appear it came from the corridor or somewhere outside so was not able to have a lie in. Our room was on the 6th floor. Did not eat breakfast as thought it was expensive. Overall it suited our purpose and would stay again if attending the races. Hotel recommended a taxi company who were also very good.

Good Location Close to WindsorPosted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: That it was clean and well located
Cons: The lighting in the corridors of the first floor
Hotel was very clean and well located for our purpose - weekend in Windsor. For a 4 star hotel, I think the hotel staff could be more welcoming - they were not rude but they weren't particularly friendly - a smile goes a long way. We stayed on the first floor and noted how dark the corridors were even at 1pm in the afternoon when the sun was shining outside. Also it smelt quite strongly of stale smoke - it would benefit the hotel if this was addressed. We didn't use the swimming pool or sauna but its a real plus that this is free to residents.

Cons: Not have cleaners try and get into your room at 0800hrs whilst your still in bed. They must know who has checked out before they try and get into room
Location: Legoland 10 minute drive away from hotel.
Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and eager to help.

Convenient location & ideal for a short stay.Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: Easy to find and plenty of parking.
Cons: Some areas of the hotel could do with some modernisation.
Location: Windsor is only a short cab ride away and easy access to central Lonson.
Easy to find and plenty of on site parking. The hotel could do with some updating in places but it's clean and the staff were very accommodating. A cab was £10.00 to Windsor. The Asian restaurant in the hotel was great and well worth a visit. All in all ideally situated and good value for money.

Very handy for LegolandPosted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: Great room, plenty of desk staff, used to dealing with kids and an excellent Chinese restaurant
Cons: Breakfast was poor but 7 year old enjoyed the idea of a buffet. Chinese restaurant pricey. £6 per night parking charge a bit cheeky.
Location: Very close to M4. 10 mins from Legoland so long as you follow Sat Nav and not the brown tourist signs.
Nice hotel with a good pool and excellent Chinese restaurant. Lovely big modern room.

Ruined by poor receptionPosted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness and location
Cons: Reception staff need training in how to deal with customers
Nice hotel, rubbish reception service. Complete lack of attention or interest. Room not ready at 15:10 despite check in opening at 14:30. No apology, told to wait in lobby for 5 minutes. After 20 minutes of waiting had to go back to reception to see if room was ready. Not advised of breakfast charges at the time of check in. Had breakfast been booked on arrival day cost would have been approx £9 each but if booked the next day cost doubles.
