"Great location for exploring Prague"
This was my fourth trip to Prague and I have always stayed at Akcent. Having the Andel Metro station right outside the front door is a major plus. Easy to get to the old town in just a couple of stops, although Prague is such a great place to walk you can easily walk most places without taking public transportation. Andel Metro is easy to get to Zlicin Metro to connect to the airport bus or the bus to Pilsen. Also easy to get to Florenc for the main bus station. Not too hard to get to main train station. Also easy to get to Karlstejn castle. The last two trips I got the larger apartment rooms on the top floor with an outdoor balcony which was very nice. I found the bed very comfortable and the room very clean. I liked the breakfast with a very large selection. The mall is right down the street and I like going to the Tesco when I want to save money and have a picnic in the room. Tiny Pizza Crust stand across street has very good pizza. There is also a nice Chinese place with very good lunch specials across the street. I liked walking from the hotel to Kampa Park and then across the Charles Bridge.

Pocket Guide: Smichov, Prague Casino Hotels

Tourists come to this outlying westerly suburb to visit the Mozart Museum in the Villa Bertramka, where Mozart stayed as a guest of the Czech composer Dusek in 1787. Not long afterwards, Smichov’s vineyards and hopfields were replaced by factory chimneys. Today, many of these old industrial buildings have been converted into bars, shops and hotels for a fresh influx of residential settlers.
