Best breakfast which was included in rate ever!Posted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Great bed and linens. Fantastic breakfast. Lovely staff.
It was convenient, though not as close to downtown Smithfield as I thought (my own fault).

Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Liked that there was always someone at the front desk. Will stay there again for business and/or pleasure.

Enjoyed My StayPosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Helpful & Friendly Staff Beautiful Appearance Clean Rooms
Location: Great area to visit and too many places to see in one trip
We had a family reunion of cousins that came from many states to meet here in Smithfield This is where our parents were raised. We don't get to see each other very often - it was the ideal place to meet and get to be together even if it was for a short time together. The room were we were meeting was just right and every body at Hampton Inn Suites Smithfield was very helpful in every way.

Nice location for business travel to NorfolkPosted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Pool, quiet location
Cons: Matresses are too firm
Location: Smithfield Station Restaurant - a beautiful place for dinner within a 5 minute drive
This was very close to downtown Norfolk - about a 30 minute drive at 5:00. However, the area is MUCH nicer than Norfolk and feels safer. The hotel is clean, breakfast was good (standard options - pastries, waffles, cereal, omelets), wifi works well. The pool was also clean and maintained well. I did not hear any noise outside of our room from other guests, which can be a common problem. I would've given 5 stars except for one major con: the mattress was much too firm for my liking. I'm used to a plush memory foam mattress though, so if you prefer firm, you'll love it. I was very stiff and sore the next day.

Nice hotelPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: The rooms were clean and the breakfast area was very nice. Food was good too.
Location: This hotel appears to be a bit far away from VA beach, but with a car, this is one of the best places to stay while visiting virginia beach area.
Had an excellent eperience with this hotel. The staff were very polite and pleasant.
