Hotel Hugo

525 Greenwich Street, New York 10013 - Map
"Fabulous creative boutique hotel"
This hotel is a gem. It's in a great location within easy walking distance of Soho, the West Village and Tribeca. The rooms are designed to feel like a sleek, luxurious, ship cabin with beautiful lacquered wood and nautical fixtures. It's new new new so everything was clean and crisp especially the bathroom - can we talk about the powerful toilet flush - what a pleasant surprise for a New York hotel. The hotel guests are also interesting, creative, young and quiet. Don't miss the rooftop bar and the grand views of the Statue of Liberty, World Trade, Empire State, and Chrysler buildings. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and again.

    Where to stay in SoHo

Pocket Guide: New York SoHo - Tribeca Independent Pet-friendly Hotels

Starving artists revitalized SoHo and TriBeCa, two former industrial centers. Although the factories are long gone, their cast iron and mason buildings remain, now housing art galleries, high-end retail, and some of the city’s best restaurants. Robert De Niro’s TriBeCa Film Festival helped reestablish the area as a cultural zone after the 9/11 attacks. Nearby, Chinatown expands into Little Italy.
