"Perfect location and welcoming staff"
I was at the Holiday Inn Soho for 3 nights / 4 days and have only praise for the staff, the location and the hotel. I had read that some people complained about street noise, but I was on the 10th floor and had no problem with it. It is very close to the subway and just as in any city with a subway, you will feel the vibration of the trains a bit during the day and evening but late at night it is very quiet. William, the manager, Oksana, the desk clerk, and the doormen / concierge were all extremely helpful, accomodating and friendly. Right across the street we had a wonderful meal at Le Parigot and we were a 5 minute walk to Little Italy, great Soho bars and restaurants, and Chinatown. Three subway lines are within a block or two so you can go all over the city. There is a 24 hour pharmacy not far away and a small grocery store and liquor store on the street behind the hotel, so basically, you have everything you need. Not to mention that New York is the best.

Pocket Guide: New York SoHo - Tribeca IHG Shopping Hotels

Starving artists revitalized SoHo and TriBeCa, two former industrial centers. Although the factories are long gone, their cast iron and mason buildings remain, now housing art galleries, high-end retail, and some of the city’s best restaurants. Robert De Niro’s TriBeCa Film Festival helped reestablish the area as a cultural zone after the 9/11 attacks. Nearby, Chinatown expands into Little Italy.
