Small town choicePosted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Convenient location, clean rooms.
Cons: The computer "business" station does not allow for downloads, so we were unable to get a PDF downloaded and printed of our travel tickets.
Location: Socorro Springs restaurant is great!
The staff was friendly and attentive, and we had to change rooms due to a smell (we couldn't decide what it was, Lysol or other cleaning agent). We enjoyed the pool, the breakfast and snacks. Overall, this was a pleasant experience.

Very spacious room and comfortable bed.Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Very quiet and clean.
Location: New Mexico Tech mineral and fossil museum! With some very nice historic places to rockhound close by. The Owl bar and Grill. Great fudge next door.
Friendly staff, good location, no road noise. We enjoyed the hot tub with it's jets very much. It really helped my back.

A good place to stay in SocorroPosted May 19, 2014
Pros: Staff was great even though it was a busy weekend and they were having trouble with internet and phone service due to high winds.
Cons: More sound deadening between rooms. The breakfast bar was a little sparse.
Location: New Mexico Tech. Very Large Array. A couple of nice wildlife refuges. On the 1st Sat. of Oct. and April you can go to Trinity Test Site.
It was a pleasant experience. We were there for a few days for our son's graduation from New Mexico Tech. The room was clean and smelled nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Water pressure was good. The only downside was that the walls were a little thin, but no one was very noisy or stayed up late.

Nice Hotel on the way to AlbuquerquePosted Mar 18, 2014
In close travel time to the Very Large Array, this little stopover was a good hotel located about halfway between Las Cruces and Albuquerque, so it's a good resting point if you have been traveling through New Mexico, seeing all the sights.

Great Overnight StayPosted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Everything was scrupulously clean. The microwave and refrigerator both were in tip-top working order.
Cons: Other than adding scrambled eggs or omelets and sausage to the breakfast menu, I can't think of a thing.
Location: Sonic and a couple of other fast food restaurants were nearby.
The night desk clerk was especially welcoming to two tired travelers who straggled in late. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. I really appreciated the clean TV remote.

We were in Socorro for a youth soccer tournament. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. They were well prepared for the large groups of children that congregated in the swimming pool areas and the breakfast bar. The room was clean, parking was readily available, and the stay was very enjoyable.

The funeralPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Big room, comfortable bed, plenty of towels and pillows.
Cons: The tv package. It's hideous. I know most people don't watch tv in hotels, but I do.
Location: It's across the street from Sonic, so I could grab fast food there if I wanted. Lots to do in the area. It's a small town, so everything is nearby.
My husband's mother passed away so I was in town for the funeral. I wanted to stay here because I knew this would be a nice place to stay. It was! I slept well, and didn't wake up with stiff neck or sore back.

Clean and comfortablePosted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: Everything except the thundering kids above us on the 2nd floor.
Cons: If possible, book large groups in areas of the property away from other patrons, and/or. isue earplugs!
Location: We visited the Very Large Array Observatory about 50 miles away.
Everything about this motel was excellent except I wish when Motels booked large groups of young people they would separate them from regular patrons. The motel booked a busload of young school kids above us and they ran around their room keeping us awake until 4 AM. We had to depart at 7:30 AM so we got very little sleep. Our 2nd night was perfect, quiet and enjoyable...the kids had checked out.

Nice stay, good food, friendly staff.Posted Apr 8, 2013
Pros: hot breakfast buffet
Cons: room could have been a little bigger (we had 3 adults)
Location: Very easy to get to restaurants, gas stations, and the highway.
Everything went well. Breakfast buffet was exceptional including omelets. Indoor pool was nice surprise. Even though it was in the 80's, all the other places we went on this trip did not have open pools. They were all closed for the season (April). This pool was open, clean, a good size, and quite nice. The room was nice and was quiet even with a bus load of high school kids staying there. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
