the pool was small but still provided fun for the kids. The rooms were the standard size but beds were full size and not that comfortable to sleep on.

Hotel experience reined due to roach in our room.

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: location, good breakfast, comfortable bed, room size was nice
Cons: get rid of roaches, if you advertise a pool & hot tub, book your customers in the part of the hotel that has a pool.
I am handicapped. We booked a room with you because you advertise a pool & hot tub. We arrived early so we could spend the evening enjoying the pool and hot tub. But when we arrived we found your Staff had booked us in the annex where there is NO pool and the hot tub in the annex was CLOSED DOWN. We resigned ourselves to sit in our room, we had only been there for 10 minutes when a ROACH ran out from under my husbands chair and under our bed! I called the desk & asked for a room without roaches & was told it was humid so the roaches come out. We chose your hotel because we thought it would be clean. WE were & are Very disappointed to say the least. When I called to complain, NO offer was made to move us or to compensate us…….

Actually more pleased.

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: The room was very clean, the sheets were clean and crisp. The receptionist handle a difficulty with my reservation quickly and courteously.
Location: To me Socorro is an overnight stop on my way to central Arizona. I really don't know the area.
Given the last stay in Socorro at an equally rated motel, this one was a pleasant surprise. This is not a main draw area given the short distance to Albuquerque so I really don't expect 5 star facilities but the Best Western Socorro Hotel and Suites is the best I have found here.

A little expensive, but better than average

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Very close to restaurants, gas stations and I-25. The lobby was very nice and so was the room.
Cons: Take out some of the furniture in the wheelchair accessible rooms to make it easier to maneuver a wheelchair.
Location: Perfect for birdwatchers. Only 8 miles from Bosque Del Apache NWR with easy access to I-25.
The motel was very nice inside and out, but the accessible room was a little cramped. I would suggest taking out some of the less necessary furniture so a person in a wheelchair has an easier time getting around the room. Otherwise, the room was clean (although you might want to spray for spiders now that it's Springtime), and the bathroom was very large.

Small town choice

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Convenient location, clean rooms.
Cons: The computer "business" station does not allow for downloads, so we were unable to get a PDF downloaded and printed of our travel tickets.
Location: Socorro Springs restaurant is great!
The staff was friendly and attentive, and we had to change rooms due to a smell (we couldn't decide what it was, Lysol or other cleaning agent). We enjoyed the pool, the breakfast and snacks. Overall, this was a pleasant experience.

Very spacious room and comfortable bed.

Pros: Very quiet and clean.
Location: New Mexico Tech mineral and fossil museum! With some very nice historic places to rockhound close by. The Owl bar and Grill. Great fudge next door.
Friendly staff, good location, no road noise. We enjoyed the hot tub with it's jets very much. It really helped my back.

A good place to stay in Socorro

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Staff was great even though it was a busy weekend and they were having trouble with internet and phone service due to high winds.
Cons: More sound deadening between rooms. The breakfast bar was a little sparse.
Location: New Mexico Tech. Very Large Array. A couple of nice wildlife refuges. On the 1st Sat. of Oct. and April you can go to Trinity Test Site.
It was a pleasant experience. We were there for a few days for our son's graduation from New Mexico Tech. The room was clean and smelled nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Water pressure was good. The only downside was that the walls were a little thin, but no one was very noisy or stayed up late.

Nice Hotel on the way to Albuquerque

Posted Mar 18, 2014
In close travel time to the Very Large Array, this little stopover was a good hotel located about halfway between Las Cruces and Albuquerque, so it's a good resting point if you have been traveling through New Mexico, seeing all the sights.

Great Overnight Stay

Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Everything was scrupulously clean. The microwave and refrigerator both were in tip-top working order.
Cons: Other than adding scrambled eggs or omelets and sausage to the breakfast menu, I can't think of a thing.
Location: Sonic and a couple of other fast food restaurants were nearby.
The night desk clerk was especially welcoming to two tired travelers who straggled in late. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. I really appreciated the clean TV remote.
