“A Delightful Stopover”

This hotel is centrally located, and right next to a restaurant that gave a discount when showing the room key. Our room, although facing the main street in Socorro, was quiet. The bed was very comfortable, and the room and bathroom were very clean and nicely furnished. My partner and I slept well and were refreshed when awakened. If we return to Socorre, we will probably stay again at this hotel.

Very nice facility--clean and very comfortable beds. The pool and hot tub were also welcome after a long drive.

“Surprisingly Delightful Spot”

The Socorro Econo Lodge looked like the typical 1950's "hole in the wall" on the main road running through Socorro. With truck traffic and a super "big box" across the street, I did not expect much and hoped for a clean room for the night. After a week dealing with three other reputedly "better motels" in southern New Mexico, my husband and I had little hopes for this, the last dump on our trip. When we arrived in the suite, we could not have been more surprised and delighted! For the same price as a single room in other locations in the state, we were treated to a full living room, complete with kitchen facilites, bedroom and a newly renovated bath. The place was clean and attractive--even by East Coast standards. In addition, the EconoLodge boasts a complimentary "best breakfast bar in town." It probably was although I had no actual measure for comparison. This spot was a gem in spite of the lack of atmosphere outside.

“Great motel at a great price!”

Very nice room. The layout feels almost like you are in an apartment with a little inside "hallway" leading to the bedroom and bathroom. The management was very friendly. The hours for the free breakfast (5:30 to 8:30 I think) could be a little longer...like until 10 am. The room was very comfortable and clean and quiet. They offer a discount for motel guests at the restaurant next door...but we didn't get a chance to eat there. We stayed overnight so we could go bird watching at Bosque Del Apache the next day. Next time we'll stay an extra night, as we only saw about half of the the bird refuge. This motel is perfect for birders at a super great rate!

“Good Hotel”

The Econo Lodge Hotel is right off of the main street in Socorro NM. I found the room clean and comfortable. There was a serious creak when you stepped on the floor in front of the bathroom sink. This room was on the second floor, so I'm sure it was heard in the room below me. However, overall, I found it to be a very nice hotel; especially for the price. I will be staying there when I travel to the area.
