Well located hotel with strong need for upgrading

Pros: Location and evening dining services. Friendliness of reception staff.
Cons: See above.
Location: Not far from various interesting towns and in the middle of nature
The personnel in the breakfast room is very unprofessional and does not seem to care all that much about customer service. They do not help with rearranging tables, do not collect used plates and do not ask if anyone wants any additional coffee or anything else for that matter. Not very friendly either. Some reorganization and training is certainly required. The room safe did not work and the security chain was missing.

Great Hotel, too short a stay!!

Pros: Clean, modern, good staff
Cons: Later bar opening, although I appreciate that everybody needs time off. We arrived at 11.20pm at the bar, which was closing, although did get a beer
Location: Don't know as we only stayed a few hrs
Having arrived late on Friday night, leaving first thing Saturday morning to drive to Assen, we saw very little of the hotel facilities which was a real shame. No chance to use the gym or the pool. Perhaps I'll go back one day just to explore the areas?

A good stopping point in the netherlands

Cons: the room temperature was low on arrival, but this was sorted swiftly. As a coffee drinker, I felt that the breakfast coffee quality should be improved
Location: right in the heart of holland this is a great base to explore the country
We really enjoyed our stay. We had booked this hotel because the location suited the wedding we were invited to. The hotel is modern, clean and well appointed. Good bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent and the reception staff pleasant. A good experience.

Mix up with booking

This is a really nice hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. On arrival we discovered the Hilton system was not working and all of my booking could not be located so we could only be allocated 1 room despite booking two. It took over an hour waiting in the lobby before a solution was found. We had just driven over 9 hours so were tired. However in that time we were offered drinks and something to eat. My children and I had a drink but were not hungry. We asked to have the food offered another night. However on check out this offer was not noted against the food we had and there was another wait and a debate about what the offer entailed. In the end the food was offered complimentary but not the associated drinks. I paid and we left. My point is when this type of error is made and guests are kept waiting there should be a solid policy as I did not like being left to argue at the front desk at departure time about what was and what was not offered complimentary. Everyone was very nice but it was still annoying. One point about the hotel - there is no hot tub in the spa - a bit disappointing.

A wonderful base to explore the Netherlands

This hotel is based near to Utrecht but is within easy driving distance of Amsterdam and other parts of the Netherlands. The hotel sits in beautiful countryside but is near to the small city of Amersfoort which is worth spending some time in. Our stay was very comfortable, with the hotel offering nice sized rooms and good facilities. Despite staying over New Year's Eve our room was very peaceful. Breakfast was both tasty and varied and set us up nicely for our daily sightseeing activities.

Pros: The reception staff and facilities.
Cons: Breakfast staff should serve the guests, try smiling now and again and source better produce.
Location: We used the hotel to visit nearby Arnhem, Amersfoort and Utrecht where there is so much to do its hard to list.
Reception staff were excellent as were the bar staff. Short stay so did not use all facilities. The only thing that let it down was the quality of the breakfast and breakfast staff who were focussed on clearing tables rather than ensuring guests were served. The hot breakfast options were poor and the quality of produce was not great. Having stayed at other chains, some cheaper brands, I have to say this was the worst breakfast and even Holiday Inn was better. Not a good mark.

Staff helpful and friendly. Room very comfy and clean. Swimming pool was nice. Location away from town in its own grounds very quite and plenty of parking and did not have to pay for parking which made a change.
