A good base for SofiaPosted Sep 1, 2013
Cons: Draught Bulgarian beer on in the bar instead of bottles
Location: Close to centre
Not at all what I expected.Staff were very friendly a lot of them spoke English if they didn't they found a college who did, nothing seemed too much trouble. The bell boy brought our cases to our room I offered him a small tip he said there's no need I'm only doing my job, how many hotels in Europe would you get that. Room was clean and well furnished ,bathroom was very good . Breakfast was good there was something for everyone bacon n eggs various Bulgarian dishes and lots more all in all if I travelled to Sofia again I would stay at the Bristol hotel. Ps the hotel is just a few just a few minutes walk from the centre with various bars restaurant s and cafe s just a shot distance away.

Very good hotel not far away from main tourist attPosted Aug 4, 2013
This hotel provides the standard facilities (cleanliness, cooperative staff, comfortable rooms, etc ) that Best Western Hotels provide. Gestures such as complementary bottle of drinking water with a piece of chocolate, tea and coffee making facilities in the room, candies and apples at the reception desk, free wireless facilities probably do not cost much but makes you feel at home. What was missing in this hotel was English language newspaper. When I arrived at the hotel in the morning of knew all about my special requests (quiet room on one of the top floors) the moment I gave her my name. The other young lady who was at the reception the following eve the 1st the young lady at the desk (Dani) was most helpful. As I was at the reception area c for some two hours using the computer the hotel provided (I was expecting some important news from the US), I could observe that she was treating every one with utmost care and courtesy. The rooms are impeccably clean. Breakfast is very good. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the main "pedestrians only" shopping area and other tourist attractions. The area Is quite safe. I would definitely. stay at thi hotel if I am back in Sofia.

Bargain in stylePosted Jul 5, 2013
Cons: 10 min walk to the centre
Location: 10 min walk to the centre or a £2 cab
Absolute bargain for the room via Expedia (£50p/night). Room was great, and just a 10 min easy walk to the centre, and 2 mins to the Sin City nightclub. Hotel staff also very helpful. Would def go again if in Sofia....good for lads trip in luxury or a weekend get away

Excellent hotelPosted Jun 30, 2013
Pros: Friendliness of the staff
Cons: Missed English tea - but then I was in Bulgaria!
Location: On tram route so access to all areas of Sofia. We mainly walked as it was only 15 minutes to the main centre. Would recommend the free walking tour.
From the moment our car pulled up outside the hotel and the bellboy came to get our cases we were made to feel very welcome. Reception staff and Restaurant staff were most helpful but all staff from the cleaners, bellboys, reception and restaurant staff were polite and friendly. We found there to be an ample selection for breakfast, rooms cleaned and tidied daily. Once we had our bearings it was only a 15 minute walk to the main centre. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evenings twice during our stay and the food was of a very good standard. Would have no hesitation staying again if we return to Sofia.

Eat Somewhere ElsePosted Mar 18, 2013
Pros: Business location and the size of the room.
Location: Good for business but not for families
Hotel has a good location if you need to be close to business center. Hotel restaurant has a good brakfast (included) but lunch is not a good value. However the reception was very helpful to point out a restaurant close by which was excellent and very reasonable. The name was Niagara. If you need to go to the airport in the rush hour add an extra 30 minutes.
