Very nice budget place to stay.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Quiet; good breakfast'; nice restaurant in-house & next door; located 2 blocks from a Billa grocery store for water and snacks. All reasonably priced.
Cons: The shower was normal eastern Europe in that it is contained only by a shower curtain so the bathroom floor gets all wet until it drains off.
Location: If you go to the city center, there are plenty of museums and churches for checking out. We took a shuttle trip to the Rila monastary as a day trip.
No problems encountered. The facilities are well kept up. The AC worked very nicely, shower water hot, beds comfortable. The breakfast was very adequate but the Bulgarian version of coffee is very Greek/Turkish (muddy and strong). Otherwise there was plenty of everything. The hotel is 20 min from the airport and one block away there is easy trolley/bus service to the center of the city. Tickets are cheap and available at the bus stop. Figuring out the bus routes requires getting a city map with bus/trolley numbers and routes shown. (Bus #1 is the best for getting close to city center and also coming back)

One night between flights

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Breakfast. Good value for money.
Cons: A complete refurbishment would be beneficial, but, would, obviously, result in a higher tariff.
Location: In an run-down area. Supermarket nearby.
A 25 minute taxi ride from Sofia airport led to a rather run-down looking hotel in an undesirable neighbourhood. Check-in was efficient but unsmiling. The room was dismal and dated, but (for one night) tolerable Evening meal in the restaurant was OK in both quality and price, although breakfast was excellent in both quality and selection.

Pleasantly Surprised

Posted Jan 29, 2014
Location: A bit of a problem to find with the Sat Nav it took us down some back streets an the other side of the road and said we were at our destination.
For one of the cheapest hotels available in Sofia on Expedia I was not sure what we were buying into but as we were only there for one night it was not that important. Frankly I was really surprised at what we got for the money. The hotel was great. Clean, comfortable, with lots of amenities including free car parking. The restaurant was also really good. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or to stay there again.

good for the price

The hotel is very reasonable. The room was spacious, had TV. Breakfast is very generous. They gave us a 20% discount to use in the restaurant, staff was nice and helpful. Negatives, really dark dreary hallways. Rooms are kind of funky/ugly, matching mustard color wallpaper, drapes and bedspread. I booked it for convenience to airport. It's good for that. I wish they had a shuttle. They did advice me how much the taxi to airport should be. They called a taxi for us. The driver bringing us to the hotel over-charged us, so it was nice they advised us.

Big beds.Very helpful staff.Nice, clean rooms.

I have been couple of times already in this hotel and I am very happy to go there again. The staff is very polite and helpful. The food in the restaurant was with very good quality. Rooms are very clean and the WC is good size. I had very early morning travel: I had to leave the h-l at 3am and I worried that i,ll miss my breakfast which was included in the price of my room, but the staff prepared for me a package with 2 sandwiches (smoked meat and cheese), 1 bottle of mineral water. This helped me very much trough the night and on the airport where i became hungry. The flight was with a cheap airline so there was no food in the airplane and I made a good use of those sandwiches. I will recommend this hotel to my friends. Affordable, good price also. Location: the hotel is near a bus station which brings you to the Center of Sofia just for 15 min journey.

Nice hotel close to city centre

Posted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: responsive staff, proximity to downtown, cleanliness.
Cons: The dim lighting and after soul on the bathroom is one big puddle
Location: Trolleybus station (different ways) close by hotel, BILLA supermarket opposite hotel. Petrol station on 500 metres. Aeroport and city centre.
Nice hotel close to city centre - 10 minutes walk or 3 stops by trolleybus. Breakfest is enough. Menu in restaurant is not large, but meal is too delicious and cheap. Staff is open and responsive. Short story: we stayed at this hotel together with my son. And two days later, when the robber stole my wallet with all money and cards miracle was happened - garcon (waiter) offered us a free dinner! Staff is very open!

Good cheap option

Posted Aug 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
We usually stay in hostels, but this was cheaper than us booking 2 dorm beds, so it was much nicer/cleaner than we are normally accustomed to. The location is not downtown, but the trolley takes you there in 10 - 15 minutes for just 1 lev or you can take a taxi for 5 - 7 lev. The only two critiques of the hotel are that the hallways (on the 3rd floor) are very dark, and that the drain in the bathroom is in the opposite corner of the shower, so the bathroom floor never fully dries unless you wipe it with a towel. I would stay there again if the price was the same.
