“Beautiful”

We loved staying at this hotel! The rooms were huge and clean and the service was excellent. We were very impressed with the breakfast as well. The hotel was a little out of downtown, but very close to local transportation.

“Comfortable & Relaxing in Sofia”

Wow!!! After travelling for 25 hours from the USA, the Central Hotel Forum was a tremendous relief. When we pulled up at the curb all exhausted, we were immediately greeted with a busboy to help with our suitcases up the stairs to the lobby. The room was small but neat. Nice big window made it feel warm and comfy. Bathroom is excellent. Restaurant downstairs had excellent breakfast choices in the buffet which was complementary. Dinner reasonable and tasty. Big Tauborg beer on draft for 2.2 levs was nice and quenching. Anyway, 2 night stay was great and I will certainly come back to this hotel.

Breakfast is good(there is cofee machine=). wi-fi, fitness and spa,very kindly stuff. Please be prepared that there are TWO LOCATIONS of this hotel. First in 10 min from center, second in 40 min walk(this review is for second one). So I really recommend it. For Vitosha mountain take 64 bus on Bulgaria blvd.

only thing i would not consider to be a 4 star would be the breakfast buffet, perhaps in high season there could be more choice.

this is an old hotel that has been face lifted. Beds were soft and springy. room size was good and bathroom was good.....

“Not a four star hotel”

Starting with the location, it is not too bad. a 5 min taxi journey to the center on a clear road. Surroundings are residential - a discount supermarket next to it , but otherwise, not a great area to stay in. The service was OK to above expectation, considering the above. Staff was very friendly and seemed keen to do well. Particularly the porter was most helpful in ensuring taxis were there and talking to the driver to provide the destination. The room looked OK. Picture perfect in fact. Spacious rooms, balcony at the back, modern toilet - picture perfect until you take a closer look. The 2 armchairs were disjointed and almost falling apart, the mattress has seen better days and was concave to the middle. The pillows were thin and the duvet cover was nothing more than a blanked covered in a white sheet. Room service was OK. Salads looked like the product of various tins of mixed veg bought from the discount supermarket next door. Main course was decent and recommended - some microwave was used in the process. Desert wise - give it a miss. Breakfast? Great. If you are not fussed about location and you want a bed for the night - this is a great place to stay. Clean, spacious, view over a patch of green from the balcony. Quiet. I would not recommend on the basis that it advertises itself as a 4 star hotel, where it could seriously do with some basic maintenance and staff training to deal with foreign customers.
