Cons: Zimmer müssten etwas modernisiert werden.
Ideal für Städtereise, Super Blick über die Stadt, Ausgezeichete Bar (CandyClub), Gute Zimmer, Ubahn direkt vor der Tür

Pros: spaciousness and good food in Candy club and other resturants.
Cons: Payed for breakfast which we found to be cold on both occasions.
Location: Handily located for city which was a 10 minute walk .
Got a free room upgrade which was a lovely spacious room clean and warm.Thicker duvet would of been a bit better but the one that was supplied was adequet.

Car crash

We arrived to check in and were asked if we wanted wifi - we replied yes and were presented with a router, plug and network cable and told to carry it up to the room and plug it in. Very odd. More surprising was going into the room and finding it full of dirty bedsheets, wet towels and empty beer bottles. The final joy was check out in the morning when we were charged €20 each for a breakfast we didn't eat. We refused to pay and had to undergo an identity parade whilst the restaurant manager eyeballed us and confirmed we did not in fact have breakfast. Oh, and the bar is a rip off (even by London standards).

Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels sind sehr träge. Wir saßen öfter auf der Terasse der Hotelbar und mussten bei den Bestellungen 20-30 Minuten auf den Kaffee warten. Trotz Nachfrage, wurde es nicht besser. Der Check-Out dauert sehr, sehr lange. Teilweise bis zu einer halben Stunde pro Zimmer. Vor uns waren zwei Personen in der Reihe, und neben uns bei der zweiten Rezeptionistin nochmals vier. Die Leute wollten schon ihre Schlüssel abgeben und einfach gehen weil es so lange dauerte. Es wurde auch niemand zusätzlich zur Mithilfe an die Rezeption geholt bzw. geschickt. Eine absolute Katastrophe.

Western-style luxury hotel

Pros: Excellent location in the Lozenets neighborhood and close to the NDK in the city center. The hotel offers outstanding views too.
Cons: Breakfast is not included in the hotel price and it's super expensive.
It's a proper Western-style hotel with friendly, bilingual staff. Be careful though - if you get the lowest-price promo room, it means you'll be a non-renovated floor. While still perfectly clean, the room decorations are definitely stuck in the 1990s. I had to upgrade my room to a "standard luxury room" which was on a renovated floor with all the expected amenities - flat screen TV, very comfortable bed, etc.

Stayed there for one night. The service was great, room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfy. The only negative was that some of the furniture and the TV were outdated. I would recommend this to a friend.

Two-night stay at the Kempinski Zografski Hotel

The most impressive aspect of our stay was the quality of service. Everyone, from the bellboy to the staff at reception, were unfailing polite and helpful. Had dinner at the Captain Cook seafood restaurant, which was excellent, and again, the service was impeccable. For Sofia, prices at the bar and the restaurant were high, but not outrageous by US standards. One suggestion: the bar would do well to stock more that one brand of rakia (Bulgaria's national drink): traveling folk have been known to be curious about local beverages, and there are dozens of varieties of rakia to be sampled and enjoyed. Location was very good, five minutes from the local metro station, so that the centre of Sofia was reachable within 15 minutes of walking out of the hotel.

Tired hotel. Room was like something out of the 1960s. Bad state of repair. Old soap put in soap box. Took 30 minutes to check out. Definitely not a five star hotel
