“WASTED MONEY AND TIME”

customer service is poor,people were roaming roungd the hotel.Don't go to this hotel your property is not safe.It was even written there @ the parking lot that the management is not responsible for damage done and property lost

“New Brunswick's best kept secret”

The staff of this hotel were extremely nice from the front desk to the housekeeping. They were so helpful with so much information. The breakfast was a delight to have because I did not want to drive to get anything. The only complaint was the ice machine did not work on my floor. Other than that, the hotel was a delight!

“Except for the heat, it was fine.”

I got in late so I was too tired to complain about the heat and I didn't stay that long, but hopefully they would have taken care of it if I had complained.

“Good Value”

We were visiting Rutgers (daughter had interview for grad school). The hotel is on the south side of the Jersey Turnpike from school. Route 18 is definitely heavily traveled road. The check-in process went very smoothly. The room was very clean and fairly quiet. Beds were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was definite bonus. The attached H00ters restaurant was not an issue (we did not try it). Route 18 has lots of restaurants and shopping but no left turns.

Area recommendations

Downtown New Brunswick has quite a few good ethnic restaurants. We enjoyed a great Indian food restaurant on George Street. Route 18 South has lots of restaurants and shopping.

“Moondance”

After researching many hotels and reading reviews, we decided on the Days Conference Center because it was rated very high by past customers and it had the amenities we were looking for (i.e. fridge, microwave in room, complimentary breakfast, cable tv). We were very satisfied and pleased with our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The only negative for us was that it is located on a very busy highway and the traffic was a bit stressful.

Area recommendations

We did not visit any of the local busineses or neighborhoods. Our holiday gathering was 20 minutes from the hotel, we had limited time to spend with family, and so we did not venture out in the city/area neighborhoods.

“Modest price for a moderate hotel”

Our experience with the staff was excellent and the location was where we wanted it. The pool is small, and not heated, but with warm weather fine for playing and kids swimming.

“Great for the price”

My stay was for 4 nights. The location was right on 18, so my commute to New Brunswick was quick. The only real down side of the location for me was that there is a bar/restaurant built right on the hotel, so I had loud drunk people walking by my window one night. My room was comfortable. The bathroom felt a little cramped, but the bathtub jets more than made up for it. The king sized bed felt shorter than the average bed; as a tall person, that became very noticeable. The mattress was way too soft for my taste and you definitely just sink a few inches if you lay face down on the bed (as some people do when they first get to their room). While I know the sheets were changed, the comforter was not, even from the previous visitor. What I found tucked in the comforter was neither mine nor a hotel gift. The floors were clean; no sticky or greasy feel that some hotels have to their carpets. No smoky or chemical smell to the room. The pool was a wonderful perk. By the end of the week, the walls started to build up a slimy feeling (pool cleaning day at the end of the week hopefully?). But when it was clean, it was a great break from the day. The gym had enough equip. to temporarily satisfy a regular gym user. The equip. was clean, worked properly, and included a TV. Overall, I’d say it was worth it for the price I paid. It was clean enough for sleeping, and provided some nice amenities. However when I head back to the area, I will weigh my other options before booking here again.

Area recommendations

Most of New Brunswick was wonderful to explore. There are plenty of restaurants of many ethnicities, shops & a theater. Parking can be expensive.

Old Man Raffarty's was excellent!!!! The prices were reasonable, food was fantastic and the service was quick and friendly. The calamari appitizer was plentiful, fresh and hot. Their burger was the best I've ever had in my life!! They have so many cheesecakes that looked delicious, but the cookies & cream was awesome. Great atmosphere for a nice dinner date or just hanging out.
