Hotel looks lovely until inside

Pros: We went to the Club which is seperate from the hotel and used the pool, it was lovely in there and very friendly.
Cons: Cleanliness
On entrance staff were pleasant, I had to ask how to get to my room? Once going to room the corridors were dirty and smelled of a strong off milk smell? My daughter who is 6yrs said mummy what's that smell? Noise from a wedding was very loud and we were up at 4.30am in the morning so not much sleep was had?

Nice hotel for wedding

Cons: Room key (see above), price of bar & the lift.
Stayed at hotel as a friend was getting married there. When it comes to hotel rooms the most important things to me are is it comfortable to sleep in & does the shower work properly after all I don't generally go somewhere to spend all my time in a hotel room so I'm not going to moan about something as trivial the TV channel availability. This hotel was fine on both points. Comfortable bed, not a lot of noise from the corridors or other rooms (we were on the top floor so frankly had more noise from the airplanes), air con was quiet, tidy room, shower works & a decent breakfast. A few minor things that let the hotel down were: 1 - The room key. Don't put it in the same pocket as your phone or near to your phone as the card will get wiped & you'll have to go back to reception & get them reactivated again. We did this twice. 2 - The lift. If you're going up & someone pushes the button to go down it will stop at that floor. They could do with another one to be honest considering the number rooms & floors. 3 - Price of the bar. But then it is a hotel.

Good hotel outside of the city

Pros: Semi rural location, near to main routes
Cons: Need for a reading light in bedroom. Hotel/bar/restaurant used for parties, so could be noisy
Location: Close to Bristol, coast and countryside
Approximity to motorway makes hotel easy to access. Comfortable accommodation in pleasant surroundings. Able to sit outside and relax. Welcoming staff.

Good Hotel

Overall very good. A few comments regarding room comfort: Corridor noise was very audible as people walked by etc. Toilet cubicle felt very 'budget hotel' and cistern cover still needed to be fitted correctly. TV reception was poor quality.

Location: Nice walks along sea fronts with cafes and restaurants.
The room was the smallest one I have ever stayed in for a similar price. There was a window in the bathroom opposite a large mirror on the wall in the room, if I lay on the bed I could see my husband having his evening wash - not a pleasant sight! The room and bed were comfortable and I slept well during my 5 night stay. The restaurant was a real disappointment, the menu was far below my expectation being merely an overpriced bar menu e.g. shepherds pie at £14. There were also some missed tricks by the hotel/restaurant management e.g. no additional breakfast options given on tables at breakfast. No bar menu in the room - only the restaurant one. No spa booklet in the room. Lighting and seating in the bar area were a little shabby and could certainly do with a bit of a refurb. Unfortunately the restaurant menu was so uninspiring that we didn't eat there at all during our stay. We ate at Witton Tandoori where the food was amazingly good as was the service. We did have a panini during a lunch service in the bar which was delicious.

Good location, bedrooms lovely and spa great, service in the restaurant was a bit slow and un attentive at times considering it has Marco's name attached to it and we have been to others where they have been.

Classy Rooms and Bathroom

Have stayed once before and would stay again. Very nice rooms and not overpriced. Lounge/Bar area looked a bit tired furniture wise but was ok. Having stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton in Amsterdam several weeks ago I would say the Breakfast experience/choice was nowhere near as good. No coffee/tea service at the table unless you asked specifically and the "hot" food was not so hot. However overall stay was perfectly fine and would go back.
