What you expect from a Hilton HotelPosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Staff were very helpful and attentive
Cons: Main parking area outside the hotel could be larger.
Location: Yatton is about a 10 minute walk from the Hotel has all the usual amenities of a small town. The railway station is about a 20 minute walk.
Everything was exactly as you would expect from a hotel of this standard. We visited specifically for the Bristol Balloon fiesta and found this hotel excellent for it's location. The breakfast was buffet style but the food was always hot/ constantly refreshed and Rebecca was always helpful and greeted you with a smile. We only had one evening meal in the hotel but there are no complaints from us (right amount of food at the right price).

Nice hotel - poor parkingPosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Nice location
Cons: Install another lift, frost all the glass to the shower, provide suitcase stand and a facility to shut off light to the ceiling windows
Location: Convenient for Bristol
Very peculiar arrangement with the shower (glass wall into room) and mirrors!! No suitcase stand (not supplied in standard rooms, I'm told!). Wifi is chargeable - not what I expected in a 4 star hotel. Only 1 lift small holding about 4 people which is not adequate for such a large hotel

Lovely locationPosted Aug 12, 2014
Cons: The bathroom door and window. Soundproofing between rooms.
We had a twin room, it was very tight on space around the beds but was ok for the one night and bed reasonably comfortable. Bathroom was clean but the door arrangement was bizarre, and frosted glass window into bedroom was inappropriate if not a couple. Shower was excellent and powerful. Only the Marco restaurant in the actual hotel, the bistro was in the club down the driveway, not remotely convenient. Spa also down the driveway so we didn't use it. Food was excellent. Staff helpful and friendly. Fantastic view from the front of the hotel. Very uneven grounds, lots of slopes and steps not ideal for those with disabilities and blue badge parking bays not monitored. Only 1 lift inside the hotel. Our disappointment was the thin walls so we could hear every word being said in the neighbouring room.

Picturesque hotel set in peaceful surroundingsPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The staff were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful, and the quality of the food was second to none. This made for a very enjoyable stay.
Cons: The beds, and particularly the pillows as they were too soft and provided no support meaning we did not sleep well on either night of our weekend stay
If you're looking for a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life then you should certainly consider this hotel. The first impression was very favourable, and this was supported by the excellent service from the hotel staff who couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was everything we were hoping for. The quality of the food was also exceptional, both in terms of the presentation and the taste which were both faultless, and the range and quality of the spa treatments available are first class. The only disappointments we experienced were the noise from guests staying on the same floor as us which went on until well past 11:30pm even though there were signs up in the hotel on each floor asking guests to be considerate and keep the noise to a minimum after 10pm; and the beds, which did not provide a good night's sleep mainly due to the pillows which were so soft they lacked any support and could have been non-existent. However, these are minor inconveniences that can easily be resolved and I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends, family and work colleagues. In fact, we are even thinking of making this a regular place to visit when we have weekends without the children, as it is the perfect setting to relax, unwind and get away from the stresses and trials of everyday life.

Hotel looks lovely until insidePosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: We went to the Club which is seperate from the hotel and used the pool, it was lovely in there and very friendly.
On entrance staff were pleasant, I had to ask how to get to my room? Once going to room the corridors were dirty and smelled of a strong off milk smell? My daughter who is 6yrs said mummy what's that smell? Noise from a wedding was very loud and we were up at 4.30am in the morning so not much sleep was had?

Nice hotel for weddingPosted Jul 21, 2014
Cons: Room key (see above), price of bar & the lift.
Stayed at hotel as a friend was getting married there. When it comes to hotel rooms the most important things to me are is it comfortable to sleep in & does the shower work properly after all I don't generally go somewhere to spend all my time in a hotel room so I'm not going to moan about something as trivial the TV channel availability. This hotel was fine on both points. Comfortable bed, not a lot of noise from the corridors or other rooms (we were on the top floor so frankly had more noise from the airplanes), air con was quiet, tidy room, shower works & a decent breakfast. A few minor things that let the hotel down were: 1 - The room key. Don't put it in the same pocket as your phone or near to your phone as the card will get wiped & you'll have to go back to reception & get them reactivated again. We did this twice. 2 - The lift. If you're going up & someone pushes the button to go down it will stop at that floor. They could do with another one to be honest considering the number rooms & floors. 3 - Price of the bar. But then it is a hotel.

Good hotel outside of the cityPosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Semi rural location, near to main routes
Cons: Need for a reading light in bedroom. Hotel/bar/restaurant used for parties, so could be noisy
Location: Close to Bristol, coast and countryside
Approximity to motorway makes hotel easy to access. Comfortable accommodation in pleasant surroundings. Able to sit outside and relax. Welcoming staff.
