Good facilities, disappointing room and restaurant

Location: Nice walks along sea fronts with cafes and restaurants.
The room was the smallest one I have ever stayed in for a similar price. There was a window in the bathroom opposite a large mirror on the wall in the room, if I lay on the bed I could see my husband having his evening wash - not a pleasant sight! The room and bed were comfortable and I slept well during my 5 night stay. The restaurant was a real disappointment, the menu was far below my expectation being merely an overpriced bar menu e.g. shepherds pie at £14. There were also some missed tricks by the hotel/restaurant management e.g. no additional breakfast options given on tables at breakfast. No bar menu in the room - only the restaurant one. No spa booklet in the room. Lighting and seating in the bar area were a little shabby and could certainly do with a bit of a refurb. Unfortunately the restaurant menu was so uninspiring that we didn't eat there at all during our stay. We ate at Witton Tandoori where the food was amazingly good as was the service. We did have a panini during a lunch service in the bar which was delicious.

Clean modern hotel

Had a great one night stay. Hotel is well decorated and modern. Marco Pierre White restaurant is a must and the food is some of the best I have had.

Cons: Room could have been warmer 20 mins for heating to warm up seems strange.

Pros: Location for Bristol and WsM was good
Cons: The Lift service and their way of charging your card without at first agreeing the room service charges.
The Hotel was ok but the room was very small for a 4 Star. The Lift was a continual nuisance either very slow arriving or not taking kindly to commands.

Beds etc OK but a low bass rumble!

I had difficulty sleeping as a low bass rumble cut in and out during the night which was uncomfortable and made me feel queasy. Not sure if this was extractor fan in kitchens or heating / hot water boiler maybe? The rooms were good though apart from that. Great gym facilities, nice staff. Good breakfast.

High quality hotel, clean, well appointed. Only comments would be not enough breakfast (had to wait for beans and long queue) plus overly keen housekeeping staff (knocked at 0830 to clean our room)

The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. I had only one negative that being I thought the drinks were expensive - in particular the wine . I shall certainly stay again though.
