Fairytale!

Posted Apr 13, 2014
We came to stay at Tudor cottage for a weekend getaway, the cottage itself was picturesque and authentic down to the last detail. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and kind with some great suggestions about how to spend our time on Exmoor and places to visit. Bossington itself is a fairytale village only 5 minutes walk from a big pebbly beach and cliff walks. We spent the majority of our stay exploring the moor however we did also visit Kitnors tea garden in Bossington and the Wheelhouse in Minehead for dinner; both places were exquisite. Would highly recommend both the cottage and the area for anybody who wants to get away! many thanks, Grace and Liam

Beautiful period cottage in gorgeous village

Pros: We just loved the history and "feel" of the cottage and the village of Bossington.
Cons: We both felt that Anne & Ash were trying a little too hard to be the perfect hosts, and hope they can relax into their roles as time goes on.
Location: Must visit the near-by village of Selworthy... what a delightful treat. Next time we come this way, we hope to spend a lot of time in Exmoor.
We were only passing through, on our way from Cornwall to Wales, so only had one night at the Tutor Cottage in Bossington. This is a delightful historic cottage in a picturesque "chocolate box" village, and we regret our short stay. We were welcomed by Anne & Ash, with afternoon tea & homemade cake. Suitable refreshed, we made ourselves at home in our room, & proceeded to explore our surroundings while the daylight lasted. Wandering through the village and out to the shore was a wonderful way to relieve the cricks and stiffness of a day mostly on the road. In keeping with the age of the cottage, our room was small with a separate bathroom - just as we expected. In addition, the sloping floors and exposed beams added to the character of the B&B & our enjoyment of it. Such a treat for Aussies whose built history goes back a mere 200 years.

Bossington - what a beautiful place. Tudor Cottage was lovely and the hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The surroundings were idyllic and we only wish we had more than one night there.

This little cottage is absolutely perfect for a getaway - in a beautiful little hamlet just a minutes walk away from the sea! It is incredibly quiet and has fantastically dark skies at night - perfect for keen stargazers like us! It is a short walk away from some pubs - all in all everything you could want! We look forward to visiting again!

Pros: Setting of the property, welcoming touches, owners.
Cons: Leaving
Location: Picturesque and only a short drive to local attractions, places to eat and the coast.
Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. Situated in a picturesque and extremely quiet village and only a short walk to the sea. The owners are extremely friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.
