First trip to BermudaPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: All off the rooms appeared to be one level cottages (some joined) and it looked like all would have at least partial water views.
Cons: The rooms could be updated with nicer amenities. There should be notice of reduced hours for the bars and resturaunts when booking.
Location: The resort is pretty secluded but the dockyards are a short bus or taxi ride. Visiting the Maritime Museum is a must.
This was our first trip to Bermuda. I booked the Cambridge Beaches because it was rated very highly on Expedia. To be very honest, I booked the trip before I did much research.I had no idea that Bermuda had an off season. We stayed November 20-24. I think one of the bartenders told me that there were only 65 people staying at the resort that week. The check in staff was very nice. We were upgraded to a deluxe room with a view of Long Bay. It was clean and spacious. The porter that took us and our bags to our room was very nice (Larry). The bed was very hard so I did not sleep well during the trip. The weather was too chilly to lay on the beach or swim. The resort only has three resturaunts and since it was off season there was only one open for lunch and one open for dinner. Breakfast was included in the room rate and it was fantastic. It was buffet style and had a huge selection of meats, cereal, fruit, breads, etc. We we went to the dockyards a few times but most things were closed for the off season. To be honest we were bored and the highlight of the trip was the bartenders at the resort. And we rarely drink! We were missing human conversation! We had outstanding drinks and great conversation from the Breezes bartender Derrick on Friday afternoon and then on Saturday night with William as well. Bermuda is very expensive. I would like to go back and stay during peak season to see how the resort is then but I am not sure I could afford to stay there during peak season!

First class - natural beauty - well looked after!!Posted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: The property and staff - PLENTY OF THINGS TO DO RIGHT ON LOCATION - you could rent anything from bikes to boats, kayaks, fishing equipment, etc.
Cons: I'd have to stay a second time to determine anything I did not like - and there WILL be a second time...
Location: Prime location - with great enjoyment of privacy
Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa Beautiful! If you are looking for a resort with first class natural beauty all over, then this is the place to choose!! - This was our first visit and a wonderful experience - We were well-cared for from the time we entered reception until the time we left - with a room we wouldn't have traded for the world! Personnel at Breezes and Port-O-Call were great and so was dancing on Friday night and fine dining at Tamarisk on Saturday night. Delicious buffet breakfast with great service. When family called in late to spend some time - they were kindly accommodated at Port-O-Call with food and drinks - The food was delicious - the gym and Aquarian baths were wonderful and we were kept busy and/or relaxed with croquet/golf putting, books and private spots to lounge - we chose to do Kayaking which was a lovely experience with friendly accommodating staff once again looking after us. You can rent or do just about anything - right at Cambridge - from biking to boats or fishing if desired - rent a cottage with a private beach or private island - there is so much more to tell. Thank you for a fabulous time Cambridge! We look forward to another weekend!! Hoping to make this a regular. Pearman's

Very nice Hotel with an exceptional staff.Posted Nov 27, 2013
Pros: The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort.
Cons: The property is a bit dated otherwise it was very nice.
Location: The resort is located on the water and there are plenty of water sports (in the right season) fishing, museums and shopping close by.

Super Hotel/SpaPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: Everything-immaculate colonial dressed staff, layout of the whole Cottage colony -just perfect. Amazing breakfast equals no lunch as there is no need!
Cons: Bless our Beeline transfer driver - but think he needs to retire as he drives snail pace!
Location: Location is far tip of the island - 45 minute drive from airport. Sea on all sides. 5 minute scooter drive to Dockyard.Scooter needed to explore.
We booked this hotel for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and had the most wonderful, relaxing stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were polite, attentive and friendly. The resort is a Cottage Colony which makes it unique. Our views from Jacaranda Deluxe View room were amazing. Very tranquil - large open plan bedroom/sitting area with a good size patio area looking out to the beach and Breezes beach side lunch bar. The beach was so clean and really does have pink grains, which when the sun shines in the later part of the day, makes the sand look all pink! We were too late in the season for beach dining but can imagine that would be idyllic. We hired a scooter and travelled all over the island, which is really recommended as there is no car hire allowed for visitors. We saw so much and would definitely return to relive it all again. If you want to just chill at the resort, the spa and facilities are wonderful. We had them all to ourself on lots of occasions but maybe that was just due to the time of year we picked. If you want to discover the island then if you don't do anything else, a visit to the Royal Naval Dockyard is a must - the museum is simply amazing, all the wonderful relics on display from the many shipwrecks on the reef are just amazing. We had a great history lesson. Dont't do Elbow Beach but Horseshoe Bay instead! Super super stay - hugely recommended.

VERY BermudaPosted Nov 15, 2013
Pros: The setting is picturesque and old Bermuda. The cottages are charming even the simplest one.
Cons: The stay was wonderful however the reception staff were not particularly pleasant with one exception. We had just moved from the executive gold floor
Location: Continuation ... at the Hamilton Princess and the difference in the reception was dramatic.

Quiet and restful resortPosted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: The staff were most helpful and very cheerful nothing appeared to be too much trouble.
Cons: Fine the way it is.
Location: The hotel is convenient for the beach with shallow water extending a good way offshore. A free shuttle runs to the dockyard which is of interest.
This hotel suited our needs perfectly since we were seeking a restful holiday but it would also suit those that needed a more active one. Other parts of the island were readily accessible by taxi and we were able to explore Bermuda at our own pace.
