Excellent hotel with private beachPosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Rooms were great, spacious and very clean. Nice quiet beaches. Excellent breakfast included.
Cons: Better on-time performance of taxis - always late even when booked days in advance. Dinner prices very high - $300+ for 4 without alcohol!
Location: On the NW tip of the island - a little isolated but shuttle available to Docklands from where the ferries run to Hamilton and St. George.
Cambridge Beaches is a really nice resort. Great facilities and friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast included in room price: also afternoon tea available for free. Dinner prices were very high. Resort is very quiet and a little isolated, especially with poor taxi service. Hard to get out to see other parts of the island.

Wonderful place w/ beautiful views, close to beachPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: View, staff, food, pool, beach.....all excellent.
Cons: More shuttles that would accommodate more than 2 times offered to the dockyard; shuttle by bus stop particularly after dark.
Beautiful grounds, wonderful views and close to beach. The food was phenomenal, every meal we had at the hotel was excellent. it is very expensive, but I think probably comparable to most of the places in Bermuda. The staff was excellent and everyone was very friendly. The rooms were nice, but thought they would be in a little better shape as online it said that everything was renovated, however the rooms did not appear that way. The only negative was that typically we needed to be back to the resort before dark as there is a little walk back to the resort form where the bus lets you off, and something we did not want to do in the dark, and there weren't any shuttles that take you back and forth. Taxi's there are very expensive so we did not want to do that, so we typically came back late in the day. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it.

Everything was ok but extremely overpriced.Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Our cabin was overlooking the water.
Cons: We arrived early and had to wait to check in. 2 hours later, we were allowed to enter an hour before check in but the floors and mirrors were dirty.
Location: This resort is away from everything but that was the point.
There was nothing bad but nothing was exceptional either. Given the price of everything we were expecting to be over the moon and back.

Great ResortPosted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: limited number of guests, old Bermuda ambiance, great beaches, very friendly staff, good food.
Location: Hotel is on west end of the island but has easy access to all parts by ferry, bus, taxi walking trails or motor scooter.
Went there to celebrate a birthday. We have traveled extensively but this was the best resort experience we have experienced. Great couples resort, old Bermuda style not a US hotel place next to a beach. This resort is a real gem.

Lovely resort, no children!Posted Oct 6, 2014
Great time, most staff helpful but some issues with communication. Food very good but choice limited when looking for small snacks for British appetites. Would definitely return

Cambridge Beaches, FantasticPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Staff was amazing and the property was beautiful and well maintained.
Cons: Maybe some more modern upgrades to the property.
Location: Close to the dockyard where you could spend a couple of days doing things and easy access to the ferry to get to Hamilton or St. George.
Just had a four day stay at this quaint and charming resort. My wife and I had a truly remarkable experience. The resort is old schools and charming like most of the island and the property was very well maintained. The staff everyone was extremely helpful and you just got the feeling they really wanted you to have a memorable stay, they took care of all our needs and requests! The spa was wonderful as we're our meals at Tamarisk and Breezes (right on the beach). We will absolutely visit this resort again!

We enjoyed our stay at Cambridge Beaches very much - comfortable, great service & food. Our patio had an amazing view of the sunset. Just beautiful. The grounds were lovely and well maintained. The only downside is you are sort of trapped there unless you rent a scooter or take a taxi somewhere. But for our 3 nights it was great

Quiet! Great vacation spot. Far away...Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Quiet beauty! Great friendly staff!!
Cons: Get rid of the bugs and put TV's in the bedrooms.
Location: Two places to eat. One formal and one casual. No place for cut off shorts and tank tops.(thank goodness) Other paces are a cab ride away. Expensive!
This facility is on the west end and far away from the action and noise. (no kids allowed) Bad news is that it is a $50 25 min cab ride to most any place. Cabs are not always easy to get either. Have one called for you at lease 30 min before you need one. DON'T try to rent a scooter!! You will get hurt! The streets are very narrow and not the same as driving in the states. Our room was a suite and overall was nice but not like others I have had in the states. Bugs were an issue but I am told that is the way it is on an island. The property was beautiful, very clean and the staff was friendlier than family. You

Nice hotel on very tip of West EndPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: the cottages all around the property grew on us... the spa facial we had was very nice staff, staff, staff
Cons: update more rooms don't charge so much for paddle boards have shuttle to bus stops and other hotels and to AIRPORT
Location: really expensive to be going off property, wish it had been more convenient to local transportation....
First off, I want to say that the Cambridge staff were awesome and friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. From renting paddleboards, to waitstaff, to conceirge, front desk, valets, housekeeping! This was our first time to the island. My husband and I spent four nights. We stayed in the basic water view room, which was a little less updated than I was expecting, especially when compared to the photos that we saw online. We overlooked the bay on the marina side and it was pretty quiet and nice view. We liked the location our Lower Mangrove Bay because we could walk up and over the hill directly to Breezes and the Long Bay side of the property where we could lay under umbrella and relax. On the first day it took us a few hours to really get acclimated and to feel comfortable...We had to wait a few hours past check in to get into our room, so we couldn't really drop our stuff, change, and get going exploring as quickly as we wanted to. The staff and hotel were gracious and fed us lunch on the house while we had to wait, which was find. Breakfast buffet at Tamarisk included every morning was very good and plenty to choose from. We loved the food at Breezes and spent all of our time at that beach. Loved the Fish quesidillas and frozen mudslides. We went off property for dinner and I'm not sure I would do this again as the cab rides were outrageously expensive. But we did love the food at the Waterlot...Just be prepared to pay A LOT!
