Liked the room but the amenities...

Posted Jul 27, 2015
The hotel room was nice and the staff was mostly nice and helpful, especially the front desk. However, the luggage carts had flat tires which made them very hard to steer, there was a very limited selection of drink machines selling only seltzer, and the breakfast menu was really high in carbs and lacking in protein. Also the person in charge was not friendly or prompt in refilling empty items. I still would stay although might consider breakfast at nearby Dunkin Donuts.

Nice hotel walking distance to the T train.

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the location was great.
Cons: Have a little more variety for breakfast.
Location: The location was great, walking to the train station and not have to worry about the car was good. The Assembly Row outlets were nice.
Stayed at La Quinta for a baseball game. Location is great walking distance to the T train station, staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the stay was great from the get go.

Pros: The friendliness of the staff and the continental breakfast.
Location: The location is about 2 blocks away from Legoland and a 99 restaurant is within the same parking lot.
Great friendly staff. The continental breakfast had waffle makers in which the kids enjoyed!

Boston conference

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: The staff and the location.
Location: The new outlet shops, Legal Seafood restaurant, Mexican restaurant and more are a short walk from the hotel.
La Quinta - Somerville MA staff are wonderful! Friendly and helpful!! Needed one room for Friday and Saturday night June 12th and 13th to attend a cardiology conference at the Hynes Center. Co-worker shared the room at the Somerville, MA LaQuinta. We didn't want to pay the price of the Boston hotel (>$200/night) and parking ($53/day). Train is a short walk away but the shuttle was available at 6am and saved us the walk. $5.30 roundtrip each to take the train to the Hynes Center. Yes, I would definitely recommend!!

Beware of Theft

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: None
Hotel was expensive but with motel quality. Breakfast had very few choices, and a guest's cell phone was stolen.

Nice place - noisy at times

Posted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: Excellent staff and good placement relative to local city offerings.
Cons: Should include more sources of protein for breakfast other than hard boiled eggs.
The room I was #127, there was a constant sound throughout the night that sounded like vaccum cleaner running. It made it very difficult to sleep. I am sure this is situational to the room location

Hotel close to visiting family.

We had a nice stay, we were close to Boston and family. Stores and outlets were also close to do a little shopping.

Too expensive for an old hotel.

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: The location.
Cons: Update and clean the hotel. Train the staff to be more friendly and polite, how to excel in customer service and speak English when guests are around.
Location: Excellent restaurants and bars.
The hotel staff were mostly Hispanic and you felt that they were insulting in their own language. The front desk personnel were unfriendly and acted like you were bothering them when you needed help.
