Average hotel .. could have been betterPosted Oct 1, 2013
The resort is right by the beach which is very convenient. However, it is only a small beach ..nothing compared to long sandy stretch at China beach. We went during the rainy period, and there is nothing much to do in the resort if you are not at the beach. The pots and pans in the villa's kitchenette have been recently removed by the resort's management so you cannot cook a simple meal of instant noodles in the late night even if you are hungry. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa -- there is no attached bathroom to the master bedroom, and there is only 1 shower to be shared by all occupants. Despite it being a 2 bedroom villa which typically will have 4 adults, only 1 small bottle of shower gel and shampoo is provided. Housekeeping knocks on your door early in the morning at around 9am and there is no "Do Not Disturb" signage available. The massage at the spa was average. We will definitely not be staying again as the overall experience was below average.

Great Stay at Son Tra Resort & SpaPosted Mar 4, 2013
Pros: Food, our private pool, and the location to the beach.
Cons: The floor in our shower area was sloped away from the drain, so when showering the water would partially flood the bathroom.
Location: A little further out of town than we anticipated, but proximity to the beach was great.
We had a wonderful stay and experience at the Son Tra Resort & Spa. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and very helpful & accomadating. We stayed 7 nights and really liked how close to the beach it was. We could sit in the morning and watch the fisherman haul in their catch, while we sipped on our coffee. It was great having our own private pool without wondering if kids were going to come splashing in on us. It was a very relaxing place to be.

Nice beach and nice villa. The location is a little remote, but made for a quiet stay.

5 star resort at 3 star pricesPosted Dec 18, 2012
Pros: private secluded beach
Cons: distance from the city
Amazing place to stay, super cheap for the quality of the resort! Only bad thing is that its a ways out of the city, so its at least 200,000 Dong the the restaurants
