"They thought of everything!"
Check-in was quick and easy. Our room was extremely clean and well furnished with amenities usually found in 5-star hotels. Despite being on a turn corner of a major highway through town, it was surprisingly quiet. The free continental breakfast was more than adequate and got our day off to a great start.

"Beautiful property!"
We made a quick change mid-vacation from Mendocino to Sonoma, making the reservations for MacArthur Place via Expedia the same morning, thankfully it wasn't peak season. :) Upon arrival we mentioned it was our honeymoon and were promptly upgraded.

"Great Victorian Style Hotel in Quiet Little Town"
When I travel I seek out hotels that are older, with history. This hotel was exactly what I was looking for. The rooms were quaintly decorated with lots old time furniture and art work. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom was spacious and had one of those large tubs in it with the claw feet. (I am particularly fond of those) I also do like a little modern tech mixed in with my historic surroundings and was pleased to see the room also offered a nice flat screen TV with all the good cable channels. One other thing about this room that was a peasant surprise, IT HAD BOX FAN. I have a slight ringing in my ear and falling asleep is much easier when I have a fan. It was a rare find. I loved the beautiful lobby. I was also impressed that they offered happy hour wine in the lobby at happy hour and also offered a lovely selection of fresh pastry's in the morning accompanied with fresh squeezed juice, coffee and tea. I would definitely love to come back here someday and would highly recommend it to anyone.

    Sonoma, Sonoma Valley Hotel Guide

Less than an hour from the stress of the big city, the slow pace of Sonoma seems like a different world. Although the rustic charm of Sonoma Square and the sweeping views in Jack London State Historical Park impress visitors, Sonoma Valley wine is the big attraction. From boutique wineries to sprawling estates, Sonoma Valley offers a variety of wines in over 40 unique wineries. If you'd rather not play the part of designated driver, take a ride on the Sonoma Wine Trolley. You can hop from winery to winery with no worries. Modeled after an 1890s San Francisco cable car, the trolley will take you to historical sites, vineyards, and villages. If you'd like dinner with your wine, you can find fine dining throughout Sonoma, and specialty shops feature local artisans without the touristy vibe of other areas.
