Switched building for better stay

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Relative price and eventual nice room.
Cons: The older building is not where I would want to stay. We didn't know about the difference between the new building and older one.
Location: Very good location near Russian River Valley, Sonoma Valley, Alexander Valley. Napa Valley was not terribly far away.
The first night we stayed in the older building and did not like the old-style motel room. We switched to the 'Tuscan Villas' building and had a very nice room with fireplace and jacuzzi type tub with a center court with fireplace and hot tub. The free breakfast was very good. There was a major earthquake and we were shook quite a bit in the room but the building stood up very well. Overall, for the price, ( which was high because of the season but lower than other hotels ) we had a very nice room and good experience.

Love the stay....

Very easy to jump on hiway 101. It is a bit of a walk dowtown but only about a mile. This was the first time that I stayed in the main building. Highly recommend asking for a room in the newer building. I wish the pool opened a little earlier.

Don't be fooled by the pictures!

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: When I checked out.
Cons: Cleanliness, repairs and maintenance of the facilities, quality of the housekeeping.
The pictures of this place would have one believe it is a resort and more than a two start motel. It is not. The place and facilities are worn down and repairs and maintenance are spotty at best. Everything from light bulbs being out, and worn out equipment in the gym to the general condition and cleanliness of my room were questionable. I found food on the floor from the last person who stayed that had not been removed. Housekeeping during my stay was also subpar. This is also a "pet friendly" hotel and because the walls are thin it meant that I had the pleasure of hearing two dogs bark and cry whenever their owners left the room next to me. There are not many moderately priced hotels in the area. That is unfortunate because this place should be skipped.

Our stay was very pleasent. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. I would definitely recommend this place.

Pros: Location was convenient Beds comfortable Quiet Room Complete breakfast
Cons: Clean "public " bathroom outside by lobby
Location: Healdsburg is beautiful. We were there for a wedding, so spent most time at those events.
Quiet room on 3rd floor; very comfortable beds; small bathroom area. Good breakfast .. eggs; etc. Did not use pool or sauna or jacuzzi

Easy access for freeway

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Easy access to freeway and location.
Cons: Internet access and ant problem
Location: Location is near a restaurant, gas station & highway. Cute town of Healdsburg is just a couple of miles away and lots of wineries nearby.
Friendly, helpful staff. Room appeared clean but ants were in bathroom and on living area table. We were not able to get Internet access. Pool was comfortable and the breakfast had hot and cold options. Close to freeway and a central location if you're wine tasting at one of the many wineries.

Needs work fast

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Buildings and grounds are very tired looking. Room was basic and mostly clean but not scrubbed, and trash can had not been emptied when I arrived. Sink drained very slowly, toilet needed 2 or 3 flushes to empty, and hair dryer burned out midway through drying. I requested replacement but same thing happened next day. Healdsburg is a great town and the hotel franchisee needs to put money into improvements to make property worth staying in.

Close enough to walk downtown.

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: most everything
Cons: It sometimes is loud in the courtyard with either intoxicated individuals or people talking loudly on their cell phones at 6:30 in the morning.
Location: close to downtown, nice walking paths and also close to our favorite winery
We love staying here, it's nicely equipped, clean, and comfortable. It's also within walking distance to downtown for dinner or just strolling around.

Tuscan experience

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Very pleasant surprise to book at the Dry Creek Inn Best Western in Healdsburg California. Very comfortable room. Outstanding decor and through Expedia a reasonable rate. Only problem was FINDING it in Healsdburg which should not have been a problem but the sign was obscured by a tree on the main drag into town and overshadowed by the big sign for the Travel Lodge which is more visible! Great stay. I would go back anytime and will look for Best Western deals more often!
