“Not what I expected.”

The pictures misrepresented this hotel. It was more like a motor lodge with outside enrty to the rooms. While it was clean, it was old and needed to be updated.

“Great Location, No Problems”

I got the Family Suite, which was great. Hotel was very well managed, and well maintained. No free breakfast, which subtracts a bit. But a good place to stay.

“Nice option”

This hotel was clean and conveniently located near 101. Unlike many hotels, there was no free breakfast, but there is a small cafe onsite and a Denny's nearby (we chose the latter). Our room backed onto a garden area that was pleasant, and the sliding glass door out to the garden could be securely locked at night. The decor and furnishings are a bit dated, but overall it was a pleasant stay.

“Great motel in Santa Rosa”

Wonderful value for the great price we paid via Expedia. A lovely motel, a heated swimming pool that is nicely heated to a delightful temperature, lovely furnishings in room 154, centrally located in a good neighborhood, convenient room arrangement that was very comfortable for 3 adults. Too bad the coffee was atrocious but the little cafe on the premises more than made up for it with great food at amazingly low prices.Though a tad slow, service was friendly by the lone server on duty. High recommendations for this motel.

“Restful in Santa Rosa”

The exterior was unassuming but the rooms were well appointed with a nice view to a small garden area. A very clean and quiet hotel with a nice garden cafe for breakfast at a very inexpensive price. Excellent service and food.

“Excellent stay”

We only had to stay a night but it was well worth it, the rooms were exactly as described at a great price. The cafe on site made us a wonderful breakfast and it was nice to not have to look around for a meal early in the morning before our flight. would recommend to anyone I knew going o the area. Thanks for the great service

“Santa Rosa Garden Inn”

Darling little oasis in the middle of Santa Rosa. Rooms are suite-like and charming, squeaky clean. Staff is very friendly. Lots of restaurant choices in the neighborhood. Our one and only complaint was that the garden crew started in before 10 a.m. with leaf-blowers right outside, thus shattering the lovely quiet.

“Felt right at home”

Stayed here over the Xmas holiday and loved the friendliness of staff. Enjoyed two breakfasts in their "mini" restaurant. Delightful waitress and good food. They upgraded us to a room in the front that was very nicely decorated and inviting. Renovation is going on in the back area and the early morning workmen could be heard, but then again, the day had started and we weren't there to sleep in. Just a couple blocks from downtown and close to major connecting freeways, but no noise from the roadway. It's a nice place to stay.

Area recommendations

Downtown Santa Rosa is so fun to stroll in! It still has original buildings and full of fascinating shops and restaurants. Fully operating with an active history. Mall is just a couple blocks from downtown and it, too, has ambience and good merchandise (i.e. Eddie Bauer's).
