Should be your last choice in the areaPosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Location was ideal.
Cons: Room cleanliness - many spider webs on the ceiling, etc.
Location: Super charming downtown area was nearby.
Hotel is in the charming downtown area of Cloverdale but the condition and cleanliness was very disappointing.

concrete hot boxPosted Jul 6, 2013
Location: Nice locale; eat at famous Owl Cafe. Only stopped on way north.
our room had tasteless decor, with concrete walls, and a former window boarded up and painted over. The bathroom door had been broken open at least once before, and holes in walls and closets. A/C did not compensate for overwhelming heat. All this for $195 plus fees. Never again.

Great hotel in Alexander Valley Wine CountryPosted May 4, 2013
Pros: The size and comfort of the rooms.
Location: Wine and dine at local restaurants between Cloverdale and Hearldsburg. Alexander Valley, Sonoma, Russian River, and Dry River Valley regions.
The Cloverdale Oak Inn was pleasant surprise exceeding all expectations. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet. It was close to many local restaurants as well as to the highway making it easy to go see places. Staff was really welcoming, professional, and helpful.

HORRIBLEPosted Oct 4, 2012
The place was not just dirty it was filthy! Bedding, linen, pillows, towels were all very old inadequate and uncomfortable. Walking barefoot on the carpet was horrific. The toilet ran, the shower was scummy, the lighting was awful, the floor was rotting and baseboards were falling off. Cob webs were all over the ceiling and lamp shades were broken and filthy. Inadequate bars of soap. No ice-machine. TERRIBLY, maintained grounds, buildings and rooms. Wallpaper was falling off, paint was peeling. We paid for a quality place but got a dump. We feel lucky we did not come home with bugs or a foot fungus. This place should be condemned. Do Not Stay Here!!!!

Never again.Posted May 10, 2011
I didn't even stay. I rolled into town, checked in, checked the room and was not happy. However I was running on a schedule and turned around to take care of my business. When I got back to the room I was even less thrilled and decided to checked back out. The staff at the front desk was completely incompetent. I will never stay there and I can not warn people away strongly enough.

Never againPosted Nov 25, 2010
The "Oaks" is an aging motel in poor repair. I have stayed there six times in the last year or so because I like the old open beam ceiling and concrete block walls (generally quiet and cool). This time a noisy party started next door, stopped by 9:00pm, but restarted with loud music at 10:15pm. At 10:30 I called the manager to request to be moved. Although there were only four cars in the entire parking lot, I was told no rooms were available and a refund was not possible since I had occupied the room for a few hours. Management was not helpful to me so I left and moved to a nearby motel at 11:00pm. It was a bad experience.

Cloverdale Oaks InnPosted Sep 22, 2010
The wireless internet was corrupted and would not let me on. They did not clean my room. I did not stay the second day. when I came back to my room and it was as I had left it in the morning and took my things and left. I paid for two days but only stayed one. I tried raising someone at the locked office two different times with no success. The air conditioning did not work. It was a disaster. I went to the Super 8 and it was great.
