Daniel was so helpful as we left for the day. Showed us a loop to take to bodega bay, Armstrong woods and a few vineyards. He was excellent!

Perfect for Relaxing!

Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: Staff members were friendly. The rooms were clean. In terms of having a conference or wedding, this is a good facility. Cookies are available = win!
Cons: Consistency in housekeeping, free hotel shuttle, and better food in the restaurant. A store onsite would also be helpful with reasonable prices.
Location: Golf course, casino, and In-N-Out Burger.
If you want to get away from it all, this is a good hotel for you. It's in Rohnert Park and pretty much in the middle of nowhere. A golf course surrounds the property and although you can see the freeway from the hotel, it's pretty quiet. The conference I was attending was told that there was a hotel shuttle. That was not true. To compensate, they offered free cab rides for dinner to places like Santa Rosa. If you don't have a car, you can expect difficulties in getting around. The casino is a long walk from the hotel under a freeway overpass. A few mediocre restaurants are available within walking distance. If you need anything, the hotel offers a very small selection and does not have a store onsite. They tell you to walk to the corner market which is very expensive unless you are buying junk food, alcohol, or cigarettes. There is a restaurant onsite and it's hit and miss in terms of food and service. I ate there about 4-5 times and the contrast in bad v. good experiences is striking. They have a pool, hot tub, and gym. Those are all excellent options for travelers! The lobby area is clean and welcoming. In the front they have a pool table, TV, computers, and couches for folks. It was a nice place to hang out at night if I didn't want to be outside. Overall, it's a good place to stay but you need transportation. Personally, I like places with good walkability and the ability to explore. Not much to explore here but Santa Rosa had everything I was looking for.

Fantastic Hotel

We had an amazing two night stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sonoma Wine Country. The room was extremely clean and very modern. The bathroom was amazingly large and immaculate. Both my husband and I slept very well both nights on a very comfortable bed. And the staff was extremely helpful with providing recommendations on activities in the area. Overall, I highly recommend!

Great value!

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: It's very close to the 101 freeway, Bodega Bay and the cute Northern California towns of Sebastopol, etc.
Cons: At midnight, a major leak developed in our bathroom. About 1" of (clean) water was on the floor. It was a mess &who wants to call the desk then.
Location: See above.
We like to stay in the Bodega Bay area and have tried different hotels in the area. This time we tried Rohnert Park so we would be close to Bodega Bay, Sebastopol, etc. This has been our best experience so far. It's a very good hotel at a very competitive price. The front desk staff is helpful and friendly.

Enjoyable & Convenient Location for a Conference!

Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: Location & the surrounding area... convenient amenities within the hotel overall... but the sitting areas in the lobby were very warming and social.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Beautiful neighborhood with lots of trees as well as a manicured golf course surround the hotel. Starbucks is a favorite as well as lots of shopping.
Staff was warm and welcoming upon check-in. Called to find out about the facility and again very pleasant front desk gal answered all our questions. Conference rooms were tempered to a comfortable setting.

Relaxing and fun trip to the wine country

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: I enjoyed the enthusiasm with which the staff helped us by recommending sights or getting a bite to eat at the hotel's restaurant, Bacchus.
Location: The location was near the freeway but far enough away that you could not hear it. They provide maps of nearby wineries which we found very helpful.
My family and I wanted to see the wine country over our winter break schedule (through the New Year) and stayed at this Double Tree. Since our plans involved plenty of driving, we found the location to be convenient to many areas including a trip to San Francisco. We were very happy with the accommodations and friendliness of the staff. We would definitely return!
