Disappointing hotel roomPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Staff was helpful, outside area attractive, conveniently located, didn't fall down during the earthquake though we lost power for several hours.
Cons: The room needs a complete refreshment of carpet and furniture.
The rug was stained nearly everywhere, the chair stained and ripped, furniture old. Way too much money for a tired room.

UncomfortablePosted Aug 20, 2014
The staff was very friendly but the bed in our first room was horribly uncomfortable. Was moved to a different room the second day because our carpet was soaking wet. The next room's bed was better but overall experience was not good. Hotel really needs updating. I would not stay there again.

Overpriced hotel in need of renovation, new carpetPosted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: The pillows were very nice.
Cons: Everything except the pillows.!
After two days at this hotel that is north of San Francisco I was ready to leave for something better. The carpet in our room had some large stains. I called for the room to be cleaned as it was not cleaned the second night of our stay. They said the cleaning crew was gone at about 730 pm and that we did not request the room to be cleaned.!!! We received no prior information that we needed to pre notify staff to clean our room (while we visited San Francisco that day). We asked for clean towels but were told we must come down to reception to get fresh towels. One light fixture did not work. The bed was a little bit too soft as we sank down on the mattress. We got into town late, about 230 am the first night, registered then were told we needed to go back to our car and put a parking pass on the dash!! I was too tired to do that , but i decided that i did not want to be towed, so i did put the pass on the dash. Never had to do this at any other hotel in 40 years for traveling. No refrigerator and no microwave in the room. No breakfast is included, only tea and coffee. I was very disappointed with this hotel. August 2014.

Close to the Graton Casino.Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Location was spot on.
Cons: Needs updating, desperately. Nothing fancy, but it feels very institutional. TV's were old tube-style and the picture was fuzzy on most channels.
Location: Graton Casino is walking distance away. $5 Uber/Lyft ride. Santa Rosa is 15 mins away. Restaurants are walk-able across the street. (Chili's, Outback)
Our objective was to stay close to the Graton Casino, which this hotel was the closest. Staff was super friendly upon check-in. We requested a queen room, but were assigned a double queen room. The staff quickly switched rooms for us since it was just my husband and I. Definitely not a room you would want to "hang out" in as the decor and room in general were bland. I wish hotel/motels would update their rooms on a regular basis. And please, stop painting rooms in cream tones. Felt like a hospital room. I get it. You get what you pay for. Bed comfort was average, bathroom did the job and didn't have any mold or mildew.

Cons: CLEAN IT UP! Update flooring and furniture.
Location: visit Sonoma State
On first impression it was OK similar to a Motel6. But upon check in I was required an additional $50 deposit. Was not prepared for that. I check in around after 8 in the evening and the lobby lights were not on except over the check in desk. Upon entering the room the first thing I noticed was a nice big stain in the middle of the floor next to the bed. Second the furniture was pretty well beaten up. The drawers for the dresser wouldn't even open. Upon forcing them open I would not even put my stuff in them. Dirty, stained, discolored. Not what I would expect. The room door did not shut well. Had light visible from all sides. The window curtain did not fully close so someone could look in if they wanted to.

Nice, clean, comfortable low-end motel.Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: I liked the nice room, clean pool and friendly staff.
Cons: I'd like the bedding to be a little bit softer/nicer.
Location: I was there for one night to go to a high-school reunion at the nearby DoubleTree Hotel. I stopped by the Graton Casino right down the road.
The room was nice and clean. The bed was very hard for my taste. There were some dodgy characters hanging around the stairwells at night, drunk and crying teenagers. There was a big barking dog in a room on the ground floor. Other than that it was nice. The pool was nice and clean and I enjoyed it. The staff up front were very polite and helpful. I asked for a room on the top floor so I wouldn't have to hear anyone trampling above me. Still, I wore earplugs and slept all the way through.

Good location. Nice staff. Bad handicapped room.Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Staff and convenient location.
Cons: Cigarette burns on bedspread. Have a handicapped person help organize room.
Handicapped room was poorly organized. Electric plugs not easily accessed. Bedside light could not be turned on or off without getting out of bed. No outlet near desk, etc.

YikesPosted Aug 4, 2014
Shame on Sonoma County. Barely under $100 and I would have rather slept in my car.
