Great location and pleasant "inn" experiencePosted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: We really enjoyed the fresh cookies in the lobby, wine and appetizers in the evening, and a lovely breakfast daily.
Cons: The room was clean, and well refreshed daily, but there was a big, obvious carpet stain next to the bed. Not acceptable for an inn of this standard.
Location: Excellent location close to great restaurants, local shopping, and wineries.
Excellent location for our trip to wine country. Friendly and accommodating staff. Friendly went above and beyond to try to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. That said, we were quite disappointed with our actual room. The room was far too small to accommodate the king size bed that it had. With two average sized adults, and 2 suitcases (with no place to put them) we were very crowded and confined. There was also just one very small window that made the room seem even more restricting. Future guests would fare well by very specifically communicating the type of room they desired. I would highly recommend not leaving this to chance.

Charming, comfortable hotel.Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: welcoming and homey feeling when you entered the lobby.
Cons: bigger closets and more space to place suitcases.
Location: Excellent location. Extremely easy to walk to the square and enjoy the restaurants and shops.
We loved the afternoon wine and cheese happy hour.

Easy access to Sonoma main squarePosted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: Location. Nice complementary wine and cheese offering in the late afternoon. Pleasant public room.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit disappointing to our tastes.
Location: Stroll down the street to the main square, have breakfast at the French bakery. For lunch or dinner, try Della Santina's Ristorante.
This is a very pleasant inn just a block from the main square. We had a room in the main lodge and it was quiet and the room comfortable. Some complain of the service station next door, but that may be offensive only to those lodged in one of the small buildings fronting the street. The welcoming staff was most agreeable; the morning crew a bit lacking in warmth. The complementary wine and cheese were good. The breakfast a bit lackluster, what with a fine French bakery on the main square which produces outstanding croissants and similar. For those used to European travel, offering such fare and having a help-yourself egg boiler and espresso/cappuccino machine would be a big plus!

Excellent Getaway!Posted Dec 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
We had an incredible stay here. Robert bent over backward to help us with everything when we arrived and even offered us an upgraded room. He gave us wine tasting cards and discounts and suggested his favorites. Thanks to him we found some new fantastic wines! And, he even called a local restaurant for us to change the time of our reservation. The only issue we had was there are metal footboards on the bed and I banged my leg on a sharp corner in the middle of the night. But the breakfast was delicious, staff friendly and helpful, and the Inn was beautiful. Can't wait to return!

Warm, friendly and cozy place to stay!Posted Dec 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
This was a weekend getaway with my mom for her 80th birthday. We each had our own rooms on the first floor right by the lobby. This made it convenient, but to avoid hearing others, I had my fan on just to get the white noise going. The rooms were cozy with fireplaces, good size bathroom and comfortable beds. We took advantage of the morning and afternoon food and beverages. Parking is available underground which was perfect when the rain was coming down and we didn't want to get ourselves and luggage wet. The staff was super friendly. Thanks for making it the right place to stay!

Enjoyed itPosted Dec 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
My wife and I had a great weekend get away. The hotel staff were fantastic. Our particular room was a little smaller than I would of hoped. However, the fireplace and jacuzzi tub made up for it. The breakfast was better than average.

Lovely place for a getaway. Room was quiet and comfortable, and we enjoyed the wine and snacks in the evening as well as the hot breakfast the following morning. Best of all is the location - we could walk to the Square for shopping and dining and more wine tasting!

Perfect stay!Posted Sep 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Inn at Sonoma was all that we hoped it would be. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. We thought it might be soundproof, too, since we didn't hear anything else going on in the hotel! The free breakfast is a delicious and beautiful buffet, which is a little different everyday. There is wine and snacks offered in the afternoon (free!) every day, too. The Inn is about 2 blocks from the town square (where everything happens) and we were able to walk to dinner and shopping in about 10 minutes. The building looks brand new and we were surprised to learn that it is 15 years old! The lobby area reminded us of a nice living room and they kept a cookie jar on the table--with free fresh-baked cookies in it every day! We agreed that we won't stay anywhere else when we visit the Sonoma area. The Inn at Sonoma has it right on all counts!

Great quality, lower than most pricePosted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed at the Inn at Sonoma for the first 3 nights of a 5 night vacation. We saved the last 2 nights for a considerably more expensive hotel. While I loved the more expensive hotel, if I returned to wine country, I'd be more likely to stay at the Inn at Sonoma because it was spotless, comfortable and well located to many places. The daily breakfast that was included was lovely, as was the wine tasting every evening. We thought our room was spacious, with two queen beds, and neat as a pin. A great value that leaves plenty of leftover money for wine!
